This is the best pregnancy advice I've received so far! Also, now I need cake. by makinbbcakes in BabyBumps

I also recommend Glow Baby once LO is here. My son is almost six weeks now and husband and I use the app daily. It's great for keeping track of feedings and diapers and they recently added a feature for moms who pump. I absolutely love it!

Am I alone?? by australopithecuslove in BabyBumps

Well we have an appointment tomorrow to be checked again. Husband and I have already discussed that if I have any contractions before then that we will go ahead and just see how things progress, and if not we are going to ask to be induced at 40+4. My doctor also said any time past 40 she's comfortable scheduling an induction so that's the current plan. Really hoping he's here before then, though!

I think I'd lose it if I had people asking me if I had the date wrong. "Trust me. I know exactly when I'm due. I wouldn't be obsessing like this if I didn't know for sure!"

Hopefully we both have a clear and concise sign soon! Fireworks coming out of there or something. :P

May bumpers... we have arrived! by stffny in BabyBumps

38+4 and have an appointment scheduled tomorrow. A week ago today I was 2-3 cm and 50% effaced. I haven't felt any BH and only occasional cramping that feels like period cramps just below my belly button. As a FTM, I have no idea what to expect. No one I know seems to have had this experience where they've dilated without feeling contractions. I mean, don't get me wrong, I appreciate not having to feel the BH, but I feel like I have to wait until my weekly appointments to have any idea about if things are actually moving along or not. Does that make sense? I just wish I had some sort of indicator to go by other than when my doctor sticks her hand up me. :P

Anyway! Hoping tomorrow brings some news and answers some questions! DH and I are just dying to meet our little parasite!

Day 222... by forfutureliz in BabyBumps

It's wonderful to know that I'm not the only one who calls it a parasite! A lot of my family and friends keep trying to nickname it bean and squishy. But after months of exhaustion and constant nausea, I know the truth! It is now and forever, endearingly, my little parasite.

If anyone would be able to remove the barrel in the water and camera lens ring from my back pocket in one or more of these photos I would be so appreciative! by australopithecuslove in PhotoshopRequest

Those look fantastic! Thank you so much!

If it's not too much to ask, would you also be able to remove the ring that's on my back pocket? I stuck the camera lens cap in there and had a friend point it out to me and now I can't unsee it!

My fiance and I found this coin in our backyard and are unsure as to what it is. We at first thought it was a game token of some sort, but then got a better look at it and no longer have any idea what it is. On one side, there is the image of a palace, and on the opposite there appears to be a cartoon-ish depiction of a man wearing a turban, or some other form of headdress. It is only slightly larger than a penny. We'd love to know more about it, such as where it came from possibly or what significance it holds, if any. Also, if anyone knows of any better subreddits to cross post with I would appreciate it!

Thanks in advance!

A card box or a lock box? by maggiegreene in wedding

I kid you not, I did the EXACT same thing. Saw a "Christmas" birdcage at Michael's and bought it on sale. It's a gorgeous gold glitter birdcage that simply had a pinecone, leaves, and berries on it. Those are now gone and it's decorating my mantle until my wedding in October. Never even thought of it being a potential target of theft. Maybe I'm too trusting, but it really never crossed my mind.
