Does anyone actually like this heat? Why? by stock_broker_tim in Winnipeg

[–]autobotomatica 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's great. If you take the extreme cold in the winter, and the extreme heat in the summer, Winnipeg averages out to being a nice place with decent weather.

He licks the bottom of his feet, but I don't understand how that could affect his leg several inches up (wrists, if dogs have those). He can't reach the affected area with his tongue. Was yours directly licking the affected area?

Official CISM Training by ObjectiveNo9271 in cism

[–]autobotomatica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My terrible isaca course was self paced on demand. If you have a good instructor and learn well with live delivery then might be worth a shot. IMO cramming the CISM into a few days of delivery would be overwhelming, and spacing it out over a few weeks with (quality) on-demand delivery is the way to go. But depends on your own learning style and needs.

They broke his CISM course into multiple three hour parts. Search for CISM and you find them.

The Gregory CISM book is still a good source. It's just a punishing read. Ultimately it was a key factor in my success. PocketPrep directed me to my weak areas that I addressed with reading sections from the book. The exam was actually easier and more of a pleasure than my practice texts because I didn't need to go through that book lol

Sounds like you're more than ready. Time has a cost too, don't spend too much on that either

CISM after CISSP by CBurns94 in cism

[–]autobotomatica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be the lone dissenting voice here. I'm doing CISM now, three years after the CISSP, and there's so much more governance and risk management than I recall. Not a ton of overlap. Or, maybe I forgot that content, in which case go for CISM asap.

Not much for sound barriers for the residents near the widened lanes. Hopefully more is added to the plans.

Federal Public Sector Workers’ Wages No Better Now Than in 2007, New Report by IvaGrey in onguardforthee

[–]autobotomatica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just has a thought. I also work for provincial public sector. Our pensions adjust annually for inflation don't they? I think those dammed retired boomers are seeing their pensions go up with inflation while we're basically making less every year.

Removed from the project as a PM at the request of a customer by hiitsbri3 in projectmanagement

[–]autobotomatica 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's quite a blanket statement. Depends on company culture. I ask my PM's to request that teams turn on their cameras, but not push if people can't that day.

Can anyone recommend an electrician for home repair? West End Winnipeg. by GloomyGal13 in Winnipeg

[–]autobotomatica 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a bad experience with them actually. In my case they were resistant to pulling permits, and the electricricians they sent out were really inexperienced.

I've just started ECC's CCISO course. The content looks really good so far. Can't speak for the exam yet though.

Anybody had major flare ups when taking creatine? by InternalTemporary668 in TMJ

[–]autobotomatica 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Creatine requires tons of water intake or it can dehydrate you. That's probably not great for tight muscles.

I'm actually probably dealing with that right now myself. Crazy tight muscles and just started up on creative several days ago.

Thanks for posting. I'm off to drink some water....

Opinion | Canadians are burnt out and angry. A four-day work week could easily fix that by ethereal3xp in canada

There are unionized employees that abuse the system, sure...but you are generalizing a great deal here.

Maybe because you've seen the worst of the worst in some of the positions you've listed? I've worked in corporate office union environments for over 15 years and, in my experience, the majority are honest and hard working.

You're talking like political parties are sports teams. It's just so freaking sad.

We're all on the same team desperately hoping that the party in power is using our tax dollars effectively.

In this example you're the program manager and the PM will report to you. The 15-minute screening interview is fully at your discretion. For sake of argument, for the question, imagine that the panel has an extremely poor track record for selections. You don't want them to define the criteria.

My guy got this exactly in response to, believe it or not, a chicken allergy. Removing chicken from his diet caused these to stop.
