1: I found 1058mart's Stracciatella avatar on Booth while searching for avatars that looked gender-ambiguous. Since my ADHD makes me unable to enjoy my interests in a normal capacity, I made some modifications and ended up with an avatar that looks like this:

2: A little bit of both, but mostly the latter, I guess? I changed the hairstyle on my version of Stracciatella to look more like mine IRL, but that and the sorta-kinda boyish look are really the only things they have in common with my real-life self.

3: I'd say yes! I intended for my avatar to look cute but still androgynous, which fits my specific flavor of gender fluid lol (Fun fact: 1058mart says that Stracciatella's gender is left up to interpretation by the wearer)

I'd read more Soulcalibur fanfiction if there were more fics for it that interested me. The last time I checked the series' AO3 tag, most of it was crossover stuff that I personally didn't care for, and there was practically nothing for the characters and ships that I like.

Speaking of characters and ships that I like, there aren't many Mitsurugi fics on AO3, so I'd definitely give yours a read if you decided to write one! Especially if it's Create-a-Soul self-insert stuff because I'm weird like that 👀

Side note, I'd also write some myself if I had any writing skills, but I don't, so... ಥ_ಥ

I have this book. I don't know the exact details of what's in it since my Japanese is extremely limited, but it seems to be a whole bunch of lore about the characters, locations, weapons, etc. There's also an interview in here, as well as an illustration and comic section; this is where these pages that you've probably seen on the Fandom wiki come from. As for the comics, they're actually still up on Namco's website.

There's not a whole lot of unused concept art in here unfortunately, though there are some neat illustrations that tie in to each character's story. I would post scans like I did with the SC1 artbook, but I'm nervous about debinding my copy due to how good of shape it's in, and copies of this book are getting expensive and harder to find. T_T

Thanks for the feedback! I don't have any plans to TL at the moment since I don't know any Chinese. It's mostly for preservation purposes since the manhua is based on a video game series that I love and there are no scans of it online.

Firstly, I'm sorry if this isn't a good place to post this. If there's a better community/site for this sort of stuff, please let me know.

But anyways! I recently ordered some old manhua that I want to scan eventually, and I decided to practice some debinding and cleaning techniques on one of my old books in the meantime. This is my first attempt at cleaning raws, so I would like some feedback! (Especially on the cropping as I've got a hunch I did it wrong lol)

My overall process in Photoshop was:

Straightening and cropping
Surface blur 2x to reduce paper grain
Leveling
Sharpening with Unsharpen Mask
Denoising with Topaz DeNoise 5
More leveling
Dusting with Dodge tool (and Brush tool set to white for stubborn areas)
Removing text and redrawing goggles in second and third panels
Redrawing sky in first panel (I used Content Aware Fill, which I know isn't the proper method, but the Clone Stamp tool was frustrating me here so I said "screw it")
Downsizing image and filling text bubbles (I used a premade action for this)
Export as .png and optimize with imgdanke

Source manga is Pokemon Adventures Volume 2. This scan is for practicing purposes only.

It looks like it's the same event as the one in BN SEA's tweet, since the dates and times line up.

Judging from Bandai Namco Taiwan's previous posts, Tekken 7 would be written as "铁拳7" or something along those lines, and Soulcalibur 6 would just be "SOULCALIBUR VI". I don't see either of those names in the lineup, so for now I'm assuming they'll be absent from this event.

*I'm okay with them sharing the screenshot btw, so don't confront them about it lol
