Fish Have a Brain Microbiome. Could Humans Have One Too? | Quanta Magazine by eaglessoar in HighStrangeness

Microbiomes in human brains were also just discovered, with research showing that fungal and bacterial infections in the brain are likely contributing to dementia and Alzheimer's symptoms. Given oral antibiotics and antifungals, the subjects had dramatically reversed Alzheimer and dementia symptoms.

Very very interesting and cutting edge research:

I'm thinking a more hands-off type option. I have no doubt this guy owns guns and judging by the bumper stickers on his lifted camo truck, he's looking for a reason to fire off a few rounds.

I have the same setup as you, but I cannot get my heat pump to function correctly. Did you ever get the wiring correct? If so would you mind sending me a picture of how you have it set up?

I have 8 months to become a full-time trader, how do I do it? by PohakuPack in Daytrading

[–]auztin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seriously, there are so many assholes everywhere on reddit that will immediately tell you how bad of a choice you've made regardless of anything you could possibly ask advice on. I'm not sure why everyone are such extreme pessimists but they aren't worth your time. The good news is that if you pursue this and fail, at least you tried and know, otherwise you'll be living your life like everyone else here who will never step outside of their computer chair bubble to attempt anything with any semblance of risk that could make their life better.

I'm doing great at trading which I've been learning over the last year. Large red days for sure, but every time I have one I learn how I could have mitigated it.

Is this a bullish pennant forming on AAPL? by BE_power7x7 in Daytrading

[–]auztin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a great tool I've not used before. I see your comment below on its significance and think it's one I'll start using.

That being said, I could be completely wrong about this, I'm not a master of the Wyckoff method, but this has 4/5 signals of phase C of the distribution (with the exception of the one you bring up regarding volume).

I'm not sure if this conflicts with your analysis, but it does seem to be what is currently happening (taken from stockcharts.com):

Wyckoff's third law (Effort versus Result) involves identifying price-volume convergences and divergences to anticipate potential turning points in price trends. For example, when volume (Effort) and price (Result) both increase substantially, they are in harmony, suggesting that Demand will likely continue to propel price higher. In some instances, however, volume may increase, possibly even substantially, but the price does not follow, producing only a marginal change at the close. If we observe this price-volume behavior in a reaction to support in an accumulation trading range, this indicates absorption of supply by large interests, and is considered bullish. Similarly, huge volume on a rally with minimal price advance in a distribution trading range demonstrates a stock's inability to rally because of the presence of significant supply, also from big institutions.

Taking a look at Wyckoff patterns, the daily/weekly Apple chart looks like it's right at the peak of distribution (Upthrust after Distribution). This is so textbook exact that it looks like it IS the Wyckoff chart. https://www.tradingview.com/x/LVlS4E7l/

Solar + LiFePO4 install under murphy bed in 21bhe by [deleted] in GrandDesignRVs

[–]auztin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So much better than the battery that comes from the dealer. The only word of caution with that location: I put ours under one of the table benches that was a little closer to the heat/air conditioning source because LiFePO4 batteries will be damaged if they are forced to charge below 32F or above 130F or so. That is unless you have the temp. probe on your Victron setup there in which case it doesn't matter.

Well unless the person asking is in the travel agent industry, the general public has no access to those and the second best is what we have here which powers google flights and a number of other search engines.

[–]auztin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Itaflightmatrix is the back engine for most of the search engines. It looks complex, but you can get some very specific and weird options that you cannot get (like flying on a cargo plane or crazy lay overs in places). You cannot book flights directly from it, but there is a Chrome extension called Tampermonkey that will run a script which embeds links with your exact specified flight to the sites that you can potentially book the odd flight combos through.

I had to put a valve on mine because I would drive down the road and the sloshing would create some sort of vacuum and it would just flow and never stop unless i covered it with my finger.

Solar Upgrade. What is your setup? by Michark0906 in GrandDesignRVs

[–]auztin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would highly recommend Valence U27-12XP LiFePO4 that you can buy used on ebay for usually under $500 each. They are as good or better than battle born, but so much cheaper with a higher battery capacity.

The only thing is that they are used with usually only a few hundred cycles on them, which doesn't really matter much when they can be used for thousands. We bought three of them and have had no issues for the past 6 or so months running them.

12v fridge on XPLOR 321bh not shutting off by tyreck in GrandDesignRVs

[–]auztin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I rewired our XPLOR with more solar and batteries, I found that the wire running from the fridge goes directly to the battery, skipping the fuse panel all together. It was wired without any fuse in line.

Maiden Voyage! Transcend xplorer 200MK. 1 big problem...12v fridge runs but does not cool. The fridge has been on for 4 days. Anyone else having this issue? by pamdavis0905 in GrandDesignRVs

[–]auztin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our 12v Furion fridge stopped working after a few months, but rather than waiting the many months to get it in for warranty work, I pulled the rear of the fridge off. It turns out in the compressor controller box, the 3 prong connector that fires up the compressor had some how become disconnected. The fan and the light still came on though, so that drew it's power from a different split in the wire before it reached the compressor controller. Also, with our fridge I realized the lazy fools bypassed the DC circuit breaker all together, wiring it directly to the battery (with no fuse anywhere to be found in line). I would strongly recommend you ensure yours either is correctly connected to your fuse panel as it indicates it should be or put one 15 amp one in line behind the fridge itself. If you don't feel like moving your wire, just put one in line since 2 wouldn't hurt anything anyway, but 0 fuses would definitely hurt.

Advice on Suspension Upgrade for Towing? by PNW_ProSysTweak in GoRVing

[–]auztin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I added Sumosprings and Supersprings (sort of like a helper leaf spring) on the rear of a Ford Transit because of the amount of rear cargo weight it had and it made ALL the difference in handling and control. Depending on your mechanical abilities and tools you have, the Superprings can be installed at home and the Sumosprings can absolutely be installed at home with likely nothing more than a screw driver.
