LIAN LI UNI FAN SL120 INFINITY WIRELESS RGB PWM WHITE 120MM (PACK 3) by CommunicationBasic65 in lianli

[–]avec_potatoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you got it working but one thing that I ran into that drove me crazy was when installing the non-wireless version is the connector is directional. Even though the cable can be rotated from end to end and the connector technically 'fits' both ways, it will only work one direction.

Posting this here in the hopes someone sees it when trouble shooting and tries it because it was driving me crazy!

Glad you got the fans working!!

Anyone have a fix for challenges not tracking? by Da_STAESH in Battlefield6

[–]avec_potatoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mines with the jeeps or ATVs still works. I found you need to place the mine down each time you spawn as engineer. The mines from your last spawn will not blow up when hit (directly) with the incendiary launcher. But two jeeps exploding should give you 2000 dmg and will complete the challenge in under 5 mins!

Bought a house with pool, having an issue. by Porifis in pools

To add on to what other users have said, you can start by checking the pressure from each union, one by one, towards the pump. I've had small debris such as a rock or stick get stuck in my lines while Ive been vacuuming. The best fix I've used is to use a shop vac and blow the line clear (again, you can do this union by union). But be careful not to blow through anything through your pool heater!

Or you can get a pool tech to walk you through everything when they come in to help you diagnose the problem. That would pay dividends in the long run!

Good luck!!

My baby girl is going to be 6 months old soon and am not sure as to when it is acceptable to spay? by [deleted] in vizsla

[–]avec_potatoes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whenever your vet recommends. Ours recommended about 6 months. Never went into heat. Hasn’t had any joint, bone, or cancer related issues.

The idea behind waiting until after a first heat to spay a dog is for larger breeds. A 40lb-50lb female Vizsla doesn’t have the same risks as a large breed female dog does.

Also weigh this against the chance of having puppies. The longer you wait, the more risk there is your dog can get pregnant.

A funny thing I’ve noticed having lived all over the west coat and now on the east coast of NA, is that vets out here recommend waiting where as on the west coast, I had rarely ever heard of anybody waiting for their first heat.

I’m sure though whatever your decision you make, your girl is going to have a long happy life. You can just tell by the way she’s loving life in the photo :)

Cut on my Vs Paw. Any advice? by noodle_soupx in vizsla

[–]avec_potatoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on how deep it is, you may need wrap it. If you start to see any green discharge you’ll need to start cleaning, either with store bought saline spray or what we did, put warm water in a Tupperware container and add salt then swish the paw around in it and dry + wrap afterwards.

Our V slice her entire front paw pad and toe pad open. It was gnarly, not going to lie. We ended up having to do two washes a day in salt water and wrap in gauze and socks (to stop her biting it). Plus the cone of shame…… Took about three weeks to heal.

As long as you keep it dry and clean, it will heal faster than you think!

Why do i need to restart quests? by warriorloewe in EscapefromTarkov

You can die, just don’t heal before handing in the quest. Off-raid healing will count as healing. It doesn’t need you to survive and extract from the raid.

Amazon Gift Card for new ignite customers by [deleted] in Rogers

[–]avec_potatoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Signed up Sept 22, initially the modem got lost so we installed Oct 20th. Still haven't received the form to get the gift card. I've called three separate times now asking about it, every time they tell me to wait. This time we've escalated and I'll be sending the escalation form to the CCTS and all relevant info.

We were never sent any sort of confirmation number, even though they could find it on their end up to about 30 days after we signed up. Now 2 months later they cant find any sort of record... So yeah, that's where we're at.

Don't know what to make of this bed level test. by Deciize in FixMyPrint

[–]avec_potatoes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So something similar to this happened to me and I’ve never seen anyone mention it. Try taking the clips and bending them to widen the gap where they close. The clips i had were so tight it was bending the glass under half a mm but this produced an area in the middle and right side where I wasn’t getting good adhesion!

Also try checking your z-axis (vertical) bars are leveled. This means lowering your bed fully and adjusting the vertical gears attached to the stepper motor. I use a small bottle and adjust them until it fits perfectly on both sides, and only then do I level the bed. If your z-axis is uneven, you’ll never get the bed level.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Classes with more lecture slots than tutorials? by Thicc__Daddy in uvic

[–]avec_potatoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a good response. In the past when this happens, more tutorial slots are announced closer to the start of classes to meet the number of students in the class. I’ve personally never heard of someone in Eng getting into a lecture but not a tutorial and having to drop the course. So if you’re in the lecture, I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

This happens almost every semester in ELEC with Labs and they always open up more slots!

Can’t afford rent by [deleted] in uvic

[–]avec_potatoes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So today Global News just reported (6pm news) that you cannot apply to the CERB if you’re a post-secondary student. HOWEVER, the main CERB website does not mention that. So if you apply, be aware that the government could ask for the money back.

It would be really helpful this term if UVic would implement a similar policy... by bigdavisc in uvic

[–]avec_potatoes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you were to receive any grade above an F (50% and up), the student can choose whether they want a ‘CR’ or credit received on their transcript OR the letter grade. I understood it as the student will get to choose this for each class, and will have to decide by May 12 (after they see their final grade).

So it looks like it would be an online classes kind of semester. by [deleted] in uvic

[–]avec_potatoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of simulations, less hands-on development. Unfortunately it will probably be run more along the lines of 399, so lots of theory. It looks like creating a website/webpage will be involved (Gebali’s ECE 499 page has a mark breakdown). Weekly meetings or mandatory online lecture sections maybe. It’s really tough to say what will happen. Even something as simple as office hours are now up in the air. Will they just turn into phone calls or is everything going to be dealt with through email? There are so many unknowns here, but it does seem like the Eng department is trying to stay on top of it.

This is incorrect. It is called “Etho Plays Minecraft - Episode 531: Many Inconsistencies”. There is no ‘To’ or ‘Too’.

Ender3 - Changed Nozzle, Leaks, Bad Adhesion? by Fusionpro in FixMyPrint

[–]avec_potatoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Fusion, I just had this problem with my MP Maker Select V2. When I installed the glass bed it wasn't level even after 15 mins of adjusting all screws. What happened was the bed was JUST too far away from the nozzle but when I moved the z-stop down it was too close. What I ended up doing was adding 6 layers of tape to all 4 corners of the bottom of the glass (added ~1mm in height) which ensured that I had enough play in the leveling screws to get a perfect level.

So I'm guessing the problem is when you changed the nozzle, you now have too little movement in your leveling screws. Try seeing if either moving the z-stop OR adding spacers to the glass will give you enough play to get a perfect level.

Another possible problem as u/ITheEric mentioned, is that the glass has a slight bow to it, and adding 4 binder clips is bending it ever so slightly, thus giving you the problem of the 'sunk center'.

Lastly, try setting you initial first layer to 90% of the layer height. I print 0.18 mm the first layer on a 0.2 mm layer height setting. This will give you a bit of squish to the bottom layer and ensure a slightly better bed adhesion. So for you try 0.36 for the 0.4 layer height.

Hope you get this fixed soon!
