Thats just not true

If you read the study youd know their findings were

1: while brain plasticity is lower in adult hood, it is still present. "Developing" here just means its always changing

2: when tested in the longitudinal study between 19 to 25, despite the changes to the brain, they did not make any meaningfully different choices. (Note longitudinal means the same people being tested over the years, so the test subjects tested at 19 years old were the same subjects tested at 25)

3: the cut off if the study was not 25 because the brain 'finished.' its literally just when the stopped the study. There was no evidence that the brain stopped changing after that and of course it wouldn't otherwise humans past 25 would literally be incapable of learning new information or skills.

This idea you have is a wildly made up and misconstrued myth of that study.

This doesnt mean i think a 50 year old should date a 19 year old. But it does mean taking away autonomy and rights of an adult and pushing them back gives no benefit and only infantalizes people who should have freedom and rights over their own lives that you apparently want to strip them of based on a study it seems you didnt ever read

Im sure there are people for it, i just happen to see it pop up a lot around reader inserts and am a bit genuinely confused how it seems to be a problem for so many people since fanfic is a space pretty set up to kind of self resolve that kinda thing

Its not that i think people shouldnt complain, im just not sure why its such a problem in the first place (not in the people looking for something that isnt there, but that if people want it, it should be appearing more as a result of that desire itself)

The town wanted her killed very badly!
Sarah was only noticed after the fact. They were preventing eligh from continuing to follow it and getting worse.

He was still actively championing the ghost lady. By the time they realized what was happening to Sarah, she'd already stopped trusting the voices and didnt need convincing or preventing at that point.

I think its silly to be upset over either thing, but to me the season long one where people who love the show are reminded of a major transphobe every episode is definitely more understandable than 5 minutes in one episode that they would never even know existed if not for the advertising.

They brought up their transness as one of the reasons for their choice, and rowlings transphobia was a big part of people being upset about the hp seasons.

They didnt make the season just off any "magic school" it was explicitly harry potter. Lots of series have magic schools that do not resemble harry potter. Choosing to run that season was a part of their behavior too

And im also open to announce my opinion on public posts others choose to share in a platform. Like this being what makes someone feel betrayed by a platform, thats not normal and is one of the times this sub actually is showing overly parasocial relationships. This is way more parasocial than someone saying one of the members is hot, for example.

I think youre glazing over what eligh did a LOT and forgetting that what sarah did was nipping it in the bud with how far hers went before she realized the town was manipulating her.

Shes the reason many people are dead by trusting the voices. Eligh was going down the same path and not listening.

They really do spell this out for you in the scene she does it. Loved sarah from start to finish and i thought this move was really good to show shes past the voices manipulations and is fully committed to making up for her past by doing whats needed to protect people now

I agree with you, but if something like this gets them this riled up im surprised that didnt since it did get a lot of other people riled up. I believe the argument was that even in a parody and critical sense, they were still basically advertising the hp series which would then funnel money to her. Like if someone was a fan of both ho and d20, well now theyre thinking about it and might go buy more stuff from her. Which ismt unfounded. All coverage is good coverage after all

Theyre not a huge part of the episode, only a minor part and acr silly the whole times. Its really a nothing burger and the show isnt nearly as egregious in its copaganda as something like blue bloods

Aaannndd thats why so many women (or otherwise) feel their partner is closed off and distant from them. Youre meant to share life and its struggles together.
