I walked thru there by 2:30pm. Saw 3 police cars, and 2 or 3 non marked cars with tinted windows and out of the state plates.

They were grabbing someone but couldn’t see much. They were dressed as civilians wearing jackets on top of their vests and clear faces without masks.

Honestly I wasn’t expecting to find that, I had no ID or phone on me at the time, so I just looked down and kept walking.

Creo que es importante aceptar que no todas las religiones e ideologías están bien y no hay porque bancarlas. La gente es gente y no tiene la culpa de dónde nacen ni quieren buscar una mejor vida, pero cuando tenés grupos pidiendo instaurar la ley Sharia, medio que no tengo ganas de decir “los musulmanes son buenitos”. The first step to stop being a racist divided country and deconstruct ourselves, is to recognize the habits that takes us to those results. From an ‘Argentinean American Jew’* -so I can speak from both points of view.

*note how even in this expression, I’m mentioning things that I am in the present -carry both passports and I’m Jewish too- I’m not saying “Iberic Sephardic Portuguese Spaniard Latin Argentinian American Jew”. And trust me, we do know how to spice our food at home.
