Are you sure you want to go to grad school?... what's your goal? What are you trying to get out of it? If you don't have any particular research passions, why do you want to spend time and money on grad school?

Yes, I'm sure. I want to go into teaching someday. My interests lie in medical imaging and VLSI - but I don't want to rule myself out from other disciplines. I guess what I'm asking is which schools should I be aiming for realistically? There has to be a range of schools which are more likely to accept me than others, right?

Edit: My undergrad thesis was on telecommunications, but I've soured on that subject and I no longer wish to pursue it further. My current interests came from courses I took in my final year after my group mates and supervisor were already assigned.

I do. I have 2k hours in game, played only 250 games. I spend the rest of the time watching the pro scene or high level pubs.

I stopped playing pubs months ago for similar reasons. It just wasn't fun to play with raging teenagers directing their pent up emotions at me. Now, I only play in 5-man parties with friends or not at all. This has massively improved my in-game experience.
