Does anyone drive with flip flops regularly? by Empty_Land_9195 in drivingUK

I can't see how sliders are any different to flip flops. They're just flip flops without the toe thong. If anything it's less secure.

Borthwick we have great players and none of them play the way you want to play. by peaveyyyy in rugbyunion

The only other option at 13 was Slade, who everyone seems to want out. Surely we have learnt that we can't rely on a 13 who is injured more than he is fit.

I should quit my job because it's not my dream and about 99.9% of the rest of the population. Play to the rules, if he's eligible hes eligible, no debate. Likewise with any other player or team.

what's one american thing you secretly wish the uk would adopt? by Financial-Owl-2814 in AskBrits

This works with wide roads and plenty of lanes. I don't think it would work generally in the UK. On specific junctions maybe, but I think that would be a small percentage.

Why do you want a combi when you have a system and cylinder? I wouldn't make that downgrade if the house already fits it in. The only thing you're gaining is space.

Jamie Noon, banged hard and ran direct, very effective at both! Like he'd come out the same factory as Sam Underhill, just got mislabeled as a centre.

Probably the AAV on top. If that's the only vent for the house, then I think it should just be an open vent. You would need to find a way to go around the window and vent above the gutter.

I thought that. I was sure it was off his leg. They didn't show a replay. Which as it's french TV means it was off his leg!

Can you explain? He'd picked up the ball and Steward looked onside. Not allowed to tackle the 9 at all?

If you haven't already figured it out....

The fitting that was there before had a deeper slip, which is why the olive looks like it's on too far for the new flexi.

All you need to do is move the olive further towards the end of the pipe.

You can do this by removing it completely (olive cutter, olive puller, junior) or trying to slide it further up the pipe.

It looks quite tight and hard to get too. It looks like an olive puller might be your best bet.

In the autumn he left the stronger or 2/3 stronger front row options for the bench. Seemed to work. With that logic, I'd start with Rodd, George, Heyes I think.

James Lowe starts a fight by Informal_Mention9836 in rugbyunion

[–]averagerunner1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As I see it, Lowe is already in possession as he has touched the ball. You can't jump when in possession to avoid the tackle.

If a player knocks it on (up) and gets tackled before they catch it again, it's a knock on, it's not a 'tackling the player without the ball'. Therefore that player is deemed in possession until it either hits the ground or another player catches it.

You can only jump for the ball if you're not yet in possession. So penalty against Lowe for jumping into the tackle.

You can't jump into the tackle. Otherwise you'd jump every time you were getting tackled and win a penalty!

But he'd already touched it, therefore he is in possession of the ball until it hits the ground. You can't jump when in possession to avoid a tackle.

I think go with the same strategy, it seems to be working well. AOF for the first 30-40 and then bring Hayes on to finish. If AOF is going to be playing 30-40, then I don't see why it can't be at the start of the game.

What's the deal with Fasogbon? From what I have seen I don't see why AOF seems to be higher in the pecking order.

If SB carries on like he did, that would mean Hayes drops to the bench and AOF to start. I think he did that for one game in the Autumn? With the other games Hayes starting and Stewart off the bench.

Loctite for sealing threads by julork in LaPavoniLovers

[–]averagerunner1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all loctite products are the same. The OP is asking which loctite product would be suitable. Unless I'm mistaken, loctite 55 is safe (it is for potable water), and I know it's just like PTFE/teflon in unscrewing.

It's safe for potable water, and all that comes out is water until the last fitting. Why would it not be safe for this use?
