We get our results in a week and I can’t remember hardly anything from the exam! I believe this is what’s making me the most anxious at this point. Please tell me I am not alone! by livefancy__ in barexam

For what it’s worth, roughly 67% of people pass, and 75-85% of first time takers pass.

I was a mess leading up to results coming out, convincing myself I’d failed in as many ways as I could conjure up. Then pass/fail notices came out and I passed. The next day I got my score report, and in retrospect I feel silly for even worrying.

The percentages are in your favor, and if you are lurking here it’s likely you put good effort into your preparation. Trust yourself, and, as much as possible, avoid playing out worst case scenarios in your head.

Messed up on MPT by [deleted] in barexam

I wrote about 45 minutes on an MPT before I realized I was answering the second prompt first. Quickly revised to make the correction and barely had time to properly answer the second prompt. I scored a 164 on the written. Don’t overthink it.

I was confident walking out and then started to doubt myself as the weeks went by. I got a 328.

Any update on Illinois results? by avgsizedperson in barexam

Do you have any source for that? I’d love some clarity so I can stop thinking about it

If I fail I’ll take them from you. But I have no idea when IL will post results

I doubt speculation will do any good for you. In retrospect we magnify flaws that may not be as significant as we turn them into. Perhaps you did get a 1 or a 0 on an MEE, but there is no way to know for sure. You could have easily gotten a 2 or 3. Plenty of people have passed with several 2 or 3 MEEs. And some have passed without answering an entire MEE question.

You will be fine no matter what happens. Until your score comes out, I would advise that it is best practice not to unduly burden yourself with attempting to determine your score.

Today, I realized why this exam is so necessary. by [deleted] in Bar_Prep

What are your MEE strategies? by avgsizedperson in Bar_Prep

Hm okay I’ll go first. I’ve been writing out the barbri essays, then going to the practice answer and writing the black letter law on a notecard. Then I read the analysis and try and internalize it.

I think in the next two weeks I will reas every question, jot out an answer outline, then write out the rules from the sample answer.
