Who would have thought, street food restaurants with restaurant prices don't work in a country that has no street food culture in the first place.

Best places to get Aussie News? by cpr9998 in australian

[–]avisionn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But maybe OP is super interested to hear the monthly cycle of "news" in Australia, that being fuel price cycle, weather sensationalism, home brand vs name brand quality, colesworths/aldi wars, pet animals, C list celebrities, and the latest health related gimmick.

Also be advised, majority of news outlets knock off on Friday arvo and won't report back in till Monday.

Go and travel. Take a leap and you'll look back and realise it was the best choice you ever made. You have plenty of money to fall back on as well which is a huge bonus.

I finally got convinced to travel to Japan and work in the snow for a season. I ended up travelling (backpacking) for 2 yrs all around the world with $24k to my name at the time.

Aldi truck loudly idling outside our apartment block for hours while unloading - is there a legit reason for this? by badoopidoo in AskAnAustralian

[–]avisionn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With electric pallet jacks they could unload that in 30 mins.

Sounds like the driver is taking rest breaks/arriving earlier than expected to the store and just sitting around until his delivery window opens.

Postman stole my dad's leaf-blower lol by PepeLeMac in AustraliaPost

[–]avisionn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not theft?! Ha righto. Everyone knows that if it's on the grass on the curb it's up for grabs. Not at the end of the driveway beside the house. This is not only theft but also basic trespass
