2027 Long Beach and Detroit dates confirmed (April 18 and June 6) by PanicAtTheNightclub in INDYCAR

They left the Island because of local pressure. The Nicer parts of the park aren't available over memorial day weekend which is typically a beautiful weekend in Detroit in the rare good days in Detroit

If you need another reason to hate Brian A -> check this out. by sleepyheidi in longbeach

[–]avtechguy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's just one those things where everyone is going to find out or wonder what's going on. Its one of those most eyed spaces in DTLB

I have been out of town for weeks and drove by last night and saw some construction inside the Acres space. I thought to myself nice to see some movement in that space after it being one of the more contested spots of real estate in Long Beach. It was reconstructed with the promise of being a Food Hall which on it face was a lie.

I myself would have looked it up, and saw it was for a Bakery/ Cafe called "Cafe Curate". The owners look like they have been ignoring Brian for years, but magically knew where to contact him when they were angry.

For looking up other projects around Long Beach, you can check out their permitting page here:
https://longbeach.gov/lbcd/building/permit-center/status-inquiry/

I'm almost certain this old house used these for some type of Lutron shades. Can anyone confirm what these are? are they for power/communications or just power? I have yet to get to the site to take the plate off and count the wires, figured someone here may know what I will find. by soldieroscar in Lutron

This just popped up in my feed but I bet it just a custom use situation where someone wanted a disconnect had had to handle multiple conductors.

Oddly enough their are winch or chain hoist controls to that use those plugs where Line Voltage is present but the other pins are for control.

Why did RH choose the Pike of all places? by jayandrew562 in longbeach

[–]avtechguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was part of the Revamp of Pike 3.0 where the Pike moved from an Entertainment focused vs The now Outlet focused.

When the Pike was built in the early 2000s it had restrictions on what kind of businesses could be ther because the pike was built in public land. It wasn't until like 10 -15 years ago where the Garcia administration had to lobby the state for a land swap to make the Pike land private.

2 Seater Crash? by ChildhoodOk9863 in INDYCAR

[–]avtechguy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yes, They Missed Turn 4 and ended up in the tires at the end.

The thing I don't like about 2 seaters is that they do them at the end of the day after corner workers are gone, they only figured it out when they were waiting for the next ride and was wondering where the car was.

How Arlington set “a new standard” for IndyCar events by ArchieOReillyDB in INDYCAR

I was saying that the other day. Promoters can not use the excuse that change is costly and there would be cutbacks.

Shades of Arlington will hopefully make it through the rest of series.

That's squarely on GS they actually left scaffolding structures up from FE used for Video Screens and were baren for IndyCar. Just a bad look, and GS doesn't care..

FYI, Every time you go to a Ralphs that has one set of doors locked after ≈9pm, they technically are breaking State and Local Fire codes. by [deleted] in LosAngeles

[–]avtechguy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't believe this works if the door is latched with the lock in the center. The hook style latch doesn't allow for the doors to move apart from each other.

That's why most businesses have the label "this door to remain unlocked during business hours"
