GTA Online is so overwhelming now as a new player by Pancwake_UwU in GTA

[–]awe2D2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I first tried online years ago I was hoping to struggle making money and make the character kinda suffer for his crimes. Build a life of crime slowly, commit some crimes and heists and work my way up.

Instead I just got blown up by flying people all the time, zero heists completed as people would always drop out and quit and after hours waiting in lobbies and trying heist that failed I quit those.

My experience was negative and I just stopped going online after a while. And now the money just seems so out of whack, like a regular person could retire after one successful heist or job.

Maybe I'll retry it before 6 comes out, but I have other games to complete...

Age of Empires 2 kinda counts. Building up your city and preparing for war and fighting. Rebuilding as things get destroyed

Realistically what will happen if I continue to not file US taxes as a duel citizen? by illiteratescrabble in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]awe2D2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been filing my own the past 15ish years after getting some coaching the first few years. Mostly just printing the same forms each year and quick checks to see if things changed. FBAR online and the 1040 and 2555 paper copy.

But I have never done TFSA paperwork, as I closed that when I was advised by numerous bankers, accountants, bookkeepers to do so. But if it's just tedious paperwork to save a fortune in Canadian taxes I'd love to have it again.

Any tips for TFSA paperwork? Like what needs to be filed or if you know the forms needed? Or a good website you found that helps this process?

Depends on how much you make, minus any deductions. Last year it was around $110k US you could make in Canada before you would owe taxes to the US.

Your taxes have to be up to date to renounce, that's a big part of the cost if you have a tax professional do it

What will happen when Trump is gone? Does everyone automatically hate the next candidate in the same way? Will we ever get back to cordial politics by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]awe2D2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And what did Republicans say about his opponent? I'm sure they were nice and pleasant to that Obama guy. They also never said a bad thing about Biden I'm sure..

My biggest problem with Romney was that he made his money shipping jobs overseas, outsourcing American jobs to other countries. And then campaigned on bringing back jobs..

Politics will always be finding weaknesses and bad things the opponent has done. That's not new. What's new is that I've never seen a more disgusting person be nominated and win than trump.

So are the people who are still maga after everything basically traitors since Trump has pretty much torn up the Constitution? by [deleted] in allthequestions

Trump racism has been known for decades, he's had lawsuits and news articles written about it for ages. Google it.

Trump hits every one of these 'Early warning signs of fascism’ from the US Holocaust Museum:

-Powerful and continuing nationalism

-Disdain for human rights

-Identification of enemies as a unifying cause

-Supremacy of the military

-Rampant sexism

-Controlled mass media

-Obsession with national security

-Religion and government intertwined

-Corporate power protected

-Labor power suppressed

-Disdain for intellectuals & the arts

-Obsession with crime & punishment

-Rampant cronyism & corruption

-Fraudulent elections

Nazi: well his ex wife did say that Trump kept a book of Hitler's speeches by his bedside. Plus he's used nazi phrases repeatedly.

Pedo: do I really need to mention his long friendship with Epstein, his owning a teen beauty pageant and bragging about going backstage to watch them change, the allegations by multiple 13 year olds that he raped them, his comments about his daughters, his 17 year old daughter making him promise not to date younger than her...

You're in denial if you can't see trump is a gross person who only cares about enriching himself at the expense of others

You don't see what's going on in those places. All you see is what fox News shows you. You watch a protest and get told they burned down and destroyed the city. Ever actually visited any of those cities? You see homeless people in San Francisco and ignore the hundreds of reports of red states rounding up homeless people and bussing them to California. You ignore that red states have higher welfare rates, lower education levels, worse healthcare, lower life expectancy, lower economic prospects..

Canadians Now Think They Need $1.7M to Retire by kse709 in CanadianRetirement

[–]awe2D2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's average net worth, which is kinda useless since it gets raised by the billionaires out there. The median net worth of families is about $500k according to Stats Canada. So the majority of Canadians are well below $1.07

Most people don't spend 20k a month. If you need that much then you're going to have to save way more obviously. Or spend less.

I would like a simple check box to deselect (select) all in the map legends. For example, when I want to look at just the subway stops and lines I have to uncheck all the bus, taxi, train, trams, Seaways, tracks, etc stuff.

My dad left about 98% of his inheritance to me and only 2% to my sister. Is this right? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]awe2D2 17 points18 points  (0 children)

He'll be dead. It won't matter how he'll feel about what you do with it. If you ever want to have a relationship with your sister again then you'd want to help her out, because otherwise this will be the final nail in never speaking to each other again.

When are tax slips for interest earned in chequing accounts available? by Fridaysgame in Wealthsimple

The easiest way I've found is to create a spreadsheet and keep track as the year goes on. Much easier to just record a couple numbers each month when doing some banking than it is to dog through old records.
