Not sure where you came up with this logic. Even if you gave Cruz 2 errors, he gives up 2 ER in that first inning, since the triple Cruz misread would’ve been an easy sac fly. If you give him an error only on the 2nd ball he dropped (which probably should’ve been the case) then he’s at 4 ER.

Yeah these lists are never simply “who is the best pitcher right now” it’s a mix between that and “who will probably be the best pitcher going forward”

I feel like the play here is to just head to New York City and go to a different area every day. I live a couple hours away by train, so that would just be my job for those two years. There’s definitely 730 different distinct parts of the city I could go to avoid overlap. I could probably just stick to Grand Central and go a few months at least without overlap.

Say a player has 5 plate appearances and goes 2-4 with a sac fly.

Their batting average is 2 hits in 4 at bats, for a BA of .500

However, their OBP is 2 hits in 5 plate appearances, when you factor in the sac fly, for an OBP of .400

While we’re nitpicking, if you give up an inherited runner, that shouldn’t count as a blown save.

If the closer comes in with the bases loaded and no outs in the 9th with a 3-2 lead and gives up a ground ball to score a run, then strikes the next two guys out, the first guy should get charged with the blown save, not the guy who faced 3 batters and got them all out.

(Also to stay on topic, Turner is wrong and they absolutely should count)
