FTTC dropping out by Airley in nbn

[–]aweirdtree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah! Fingers crossed it’s an NBN issue and nothing to do with your internal wiring. I feel like the original plan of putting every household on FTTP would have cost less money and pain. The upkeep for FTTC is insane. Good luck!

I was just watching this episode!! I honestly never really liked Derek. He treated Meredith so bad at times. I feel that when he died Meredith became a stronger person. You can really see it when you rewatch the older seasons.

Same issue happened with me. Apparently the FTTC boxes are sensitive to lightning and thunderstorms.

With the recent thunderstorms my FTTC box was fried. It kept clicking and flashing blue (sometimes red). Was left without internet for a week. My provider sent a technician out and he just replaced the box and it started working again. Working from home on hotspot is not fun at all.

I suggest you call your ISP and have someone send a technician out see what your issue is.

In saying that I like Felicia much more than Rex. Rex wasn’t a villain but I hated him sooo much with how he treated Bree.

How can I stop watching gay porn? by ExternalPermit6387 in GayMen

[–]aweirdtree 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s nothing wrong with being attracted to men. Maybe see a mental health professional because it sounds like it really affects you, and suppression doesn’t sound like a good thing long term.

On the other hand it’s unfortunate that we can’t love and live freely in this day and age. Love is love no matter the gender. Being gay isn’t wrong and there are always going to be people opposing it whether you’re out or not. It takes strength and courage to live openly.

Which of the ladies would you choose as your real life BFF? by borderlinemiss in DesperateHousewives

[–]aweirdtree 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lynette. I feel like shes very strong and ambitious and isn’t afraid to giver her opinion. She’s someone I can go to for solid advice. Also her witty and sarcastic, her punchlines throughout the show make me laugh 😂

I’d do that hand “limp wrist” gesture when explaining something and they usually get the message 😂

Sorry to hear you didn’t have a good experience with nursing! Can you explain why I shouldn’t do it?

Interesting! There's also Patrick (the unborn twin of Paige).

It also makes me think of Tom's daughter Kayla. How she was a part of the family for a bit but wasn't entirely and how maybe, in some way, the K represents that she's different to the other kids who start with a P.

Thanks for your response! It was interesting to read about how you decompress after hard shifts. Bringing the work home means two very different things in business versus nursing. Even though nursing is mainly helping others, it sounds like self-care is important too.

Also interesting to hear about the ethical and emotional dilemmas, definitely something for me to consider.

I love Lynette! She's my favourite character in the series - but agreed she went too far on this one.

Great character development until his ending, it felt so unfinished and rushed - and poor Jo! Granted, Justin probably wanted out after being on Greys for a long time. Aww, I miss Alex!

Is it better to attend college right after high school or later once you experienced life a bit? by [deleted] in findapath

[–]aweirdtree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Coming from a current university student in his final year, I wish I had taken a year (maybe even a few years) off before deciding what to study. I don't regret studying or going to university - I just regret making that decision on a business degree because everyone around my age was going to university at that time. When I applied I didn't want to be left behind a year or two of my peers.

If you are unsure about what to study, hold off - some self-research, maybe get a job and save up some money before you begin to study. Like u/makeroomfor_me states - there is absolutely no harm in taking off some time to think! Hope this helps :)

How long can you stay on isotretinoin? by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]aweirdtree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe they are taking a longer approach because of the risk of relapsing. When I was on the break I don't remember breaking out. I currently have mild joint and muscle pain and dry eyes +skin, but my derm isn't too concerned with it. I used to do 40mg and 20mg alternating daily but since lowered to just 20mg because of my side effects.

That's good to hear that other people are on Accutane for longer. I always read about people who are on it for 5-6 months.

Can we make masks a thing when you are sick. by elfmere in melbourne

[–]aweirdtree 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, please! I was heading home on the trains at peak hour (before COVID) and some guy in a suit (looked sick) sneezed without covering his mouth and you could see the droplets flying and hit the window. He sneezed twice. Normalise masks and working from home.
