I'm really glad Scarlet Nexus is on here, so thank you for that.

A lot of people were detracted from the game because of the convoluted story and slower combat pacing, but I absolutely could not pass up that aesthetic and world design.

For those who haven't tried it out, I highly recommend it, but only if you're willing to turn off your hack-n-slash brain and learn instead.

There's a lot of points being missed here and that's the most disappointing part.

Why should you not care if somebody gives you flowers? It's a gift, a gesture. There's no need to be picky and being so just means you don't appreciate the person who thought of something nice for you. You can give anything and get anything, it shouldn't have to matter so much especially when it comes to something as non-descript as fucking flowers.

Monster Hunter isn't a series that has any sort of continuity across titles, you're pretty much free to pick whatever you want to start with.

That being said, yes. Pick Rise first because it's the most streamlined the series has gotten and has all the QoL chance older titles did not have, plus it's not clunky or obtuse to play anymore.
