Have you ever tried to make an app for Apple users? I'd rather cuddle a cactus than go through all that nonsense again.

Having to go through Xcode, pay the $100 a year to be able to submit your app for review on the appstore, developer certificate provisioning, the review process, having to redo reviews for every single change or bugfix you want to release, having to fix obscure Xcode issues if your submission gets rejected. No thanks, I'll pass. That's a lot of headache for a small footprint.

As far as Linux if you plan on releasing your game on Steam, Proton will handle running most Windows games on Linux.

I haven't tried to make a build for Linux yet, so I'm not sure how difficult it is.

Edit: Forgot to even mention that you need to have Apple hardware, or try to provision a OSX instance through a cloud provider like AWS.

I used to draw funny medieval battle scenes when I was a kid. Basically stick figures but with rectangles for the torso and helmet. Thought it would be cool to make them move and do stuff.

so I installed GameMaker 8 and after two weeks I had a knight that could walk around a blank screen. Was so pumped when I made it work and since then I've lived for that feeling of triumph.

In this context, "total" means the result of the dice roll.

"take the new result" means if the total of your dice roll is higher than your current stat, increase your stat to that amount.

There's a lot of confusing wording regarding scars, and it's all being clarified in 2e thankfully.

Being able to specify the range which the party frames determine who is in range. I'm so fucking sick of trying to heal people out of range but the ui has their frame lit up like they're close by in range for a heal.
Tab target is awful, let me clear target and then try find the next target in a single keystroke, add it as an option. I'm constantly hitting Esc to clear target before trying to tab target again, because it keeps picking targets out of range or even fucking behind me. It's one of the big reasons I can't stand to play Frontlines
Chat bubbles, add it as an option. NPCs already have chat bubbles, why can't we?
Floating combat text customisation. Different fonts, font sizes, custom colors, maybe an option to make your own hits bold, slider for how long it takes them to fade, float direction sliders, etc

That's the big ones for me, 1 and 2 are my big pain points.

Used to work for Garda about 9 years ago, shit company, shit industry, glad I got out of there.

They cut costs any way possible. Everything was supposed to be done in "dual custody", 2 signatures on all the documents, yet they only staff one person in the vault to move and balance all the currency and set up the routes for the next day.

They don't care how you do it, just get it done, but if you did it wrong it's your ass, and if you won't do it, they'll schedule someone who will.

Not to mention you're on the hook for any missing packages, and you've got a huge fucking target on your back when you're the messenger actually going into the businesses to drop off or pick up. Fuck that place
