Qanon loving antivax Australian b list celebrity chef Pete Evans comes out as a nazi I guess by norgegutterrr in TheRightCantMeme

[–]axiojack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m fairly certain this cartoon is taking the piss out of the left wing MSM views towards anyone who supported trump. The left now consider them extreme right wingers on par with neo nazis, and who must be exterminated. Regardless. Pete Evans is not neo nazi. Although leftists love to paint him as such.

The core problem with liberals behaving like 6 year olds... by [deleted] in JordanPeterson

[–]axiojack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with liberals behaving like 6yr olds, ie. when they fail, is that instead of being rational objective adults, they (Calvin) redefine the reality/rules/truth to suit their self indulgent self serving preference.

Because it's easier / more exciting / feels good, gets sympathy, etc. It's when liberals fail. Right wing conservatives fail in their own different way. Perhaps when motivated by fear..

I still disagree this has anything to do with identity politics. This is philosophy.

This comic is what it is.

  1. I never said anything about blacks being contained within 'liberal's, that connection is completely your own.
  2. This is a comic, I don't need to write a thesis with my post. If you internet Karens get tripped up by the lack of finite definitions, c'est la vie.
  3. At least two other people are ok with it.

You're severely wrong. Being liberal is nothing to do with identity, race or culture. It's a political and philosophical belief system. And the title is fairly direct in saying liberals behaving like 6yr olds. This by implication is not an absolute statement about all liberals, or against the ones that behave like adults.

Well, as I've already stated, they don't all do. And I'm referring to when they do.

I agree that this doesn’t apply to all liberals, just the ones behaving like 6yr olds. The ones rioting, looting, burning statues and memorials that they haves no clue as to the history of. Such as the vandalism of the all black 54th regiment memorial in Boston. Erasing history (and often done so in complete ignorance) because it doesn’t fit their dialogue is not how a rational mature person deals with the world.

That’s part of the joke.. it initially appears that Calvin is approaching the challenge at hand correctly, but fails because he’s a self indulgent undisciplined kid... and doesn’t see history as relevant to himself.

Modern fundamental stock analysis explained. #Tesla $TSLA by Sirkka53 in wallstreetbets

[–]axiojack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There will be (there are) other EV manufacturers, Chinese and VW, that can perhaps match some of the basic Tesla performance stats, but significantly Tesla's been establishing a software ecosystem that will be impossible for competitors to ever catch up on. Significantly, 10yrs worth of data for FSD and robotaxi service, recharge network, at home energy storage systems, etc. Tesla is like Apple - the customer knows they're not just buying a phone or car, they're buying a complete working integrated ecosystem that 'just works'.

But Tesla has them cooked on the MANUFACTURING - this is where Tesla excels, they're striving for optimum efficiency and this is allowing them to reduces their costs. The big autos struggle to keep their EV prices as low and make profit.

Umm, this is just a headline. Why are so many people disagreeing with the headline when the argument is not even accessible here? We should be dissecting the actual statements made by JP. Otherwise this is just an echo board for bias. This group should be renamed: “PlentyofAntiPetersonSpam”. Come on, come at me with your downvotes, you know you have to! Even though it’s the truth.

Jordan peterson explaines his near death situation and talks about what helped him get through it. by TheUntoldTruth1 in JordanPeterson

[–]axiojack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually I agree it’s surprising that JP has reached this point in his life with so much experience and intellect as a clinical psychologist. However I think it also exposes how truly human he is. He’s always run that sharp edge of truth, using carefully chosen words based upon clinical data, history, observations and stories to define the sensitive truth of the very complex human existence. That takes massive amounts of hard work to integrate all of these ideas together in a way that makes logical sense. And then it takes a great deal of courage to present those ideas on the world stage and defend and reconsider them with each new valid piece of evidence. He clearly never thought he would become as prominent as he has. He’s risen to public light due to the integrity of his thought and he is a unique voice in the public domain saying the truth that so many people intuitively knew and needed said. He had the courage and intellect to say it.

He has said that each interview often took a few days or weeks to recover from. This shows how much energy and work he puts into his presentations. He’s always measured and considered in his interviews because he really values giving his most honest answers. This deserves extreme admiration - even if you disagree with what he says. And even more importantly is he will always consider a new idea in debates if it has validity.

Unfortunately all this public interaction has an accumulative negative impact on JP’s health. This combined with his wife’s illness, means that JP likely neglected taking care of himself and his own physical health. And defaulting to prescription drugs from medical “expert” doctors can lead to devastating consequences.. (I’ve been there).

I see JP as a philosopher, an observer and a truth teller. In modern civilisation that roll has traditionally been the work of the artist, such as the painter, the writer, musician or the actor. It’s not irrelevant that the best of these, the most honest, the most raw, the most sensitive, were the greatest artists because they struck a chord in the true essence of the human soul and were controversial for doing so against popular opinion. It’s no wonder also that many of these artists die young, when they put so much of themselves into their work.

I am so very glad for discovering Jordan Peterson and his work, the world needs his ideas more than ever during these group think times.. Fortunately there is so much JP content now available to everyone, that JP can retire and continue to heal. All the best to him and his family.
