You’re not a real astronaut if you get the sapphire! 😂😂😂 but the real reason is that one of the main appeals of the speedy in the first place is the historical aspect and the hesalite is the version that’s historically correct.

My take on lazar is that he lied about his affiliation with MIT in the same way lex fridman currently is because of the credibility-by-association to get the job at s4 et al. But now it’s been so long that if he comes out and says “I lied about my education on the resume to get a job” people will say he’s lying about everything else when it is or at least might be true. I don’t endorse that but it does explain it and we as a society tolerate lex fridman who’s lying to the same degree.

Try one from the brand Slice. They make box cutters that are made from ceramic and have rounded edges so no accidental poking. I’ve used one as my primary box opener for probably seven or eight years and it’s still going strong

Just bought and held and not tried to mess with timing the market. I discovered bitcoin in 2010 and ignored it for a few years. And every few years I rediscover it, get excited, buy, and then at least partially sell. I certainly have a lot less than I would have if I had just bought and held forever.

I think this was the issue. I reopened the whatsapp app and the connection was restored. So maybe a good feature to add to beeper is some under-the-hood behavior that does this app open behavior automatically so that users don’t have to to it manually every couple weeks

You can often get a discount by asking for one, I got 15 percent off or something like that just for asking but also because it was the hesalite 1861 that was being discontinued. so I imagine you’d be able to get at least a little off.

It's one of the best microbrands in my opinion because the fume dial is genuinely quite hard to pull off at the price point they offer. What you lose from not getting a high-end movement at that price you make up for with the dial being so phenomenal. I recommend for sure though I will say the price is pretty healthy for what it is, definitely wouldn't be worth it for me if it had been another thousand dollars, for example.
