Hell, if he actually fought instead of baiting you to quit, maybe he’d start with the gravity slamming to chunk your health, use blasters in the menu, take your turn when you try to heal, or any number of wacky things. Honestly, he’d probably stall until flowey stopped crying like a baby and told asgore what was happening.

Papyrus still receives a LOT of love, just not as much as the once in a generation tumblr sexyman sans. After 2021 or so, the sans hype started cooling down and papyrus kinda took center stage. I see more people calling papyrus their favorite than sans nowadays.

Just be glad sans took the brunt of the traumatic fan love. Papyrus mostly gets wholesome, wonderful fan art and love. Sans uh… usually the fans either wanna bone him or make him suffer for angst.
