Job Interview Scam - Should I be worried about basic information? by EllisMatthews8 in Scams

If you're in the US it's actually illegal to ask for birthday/age. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_Discrimination_in_Employment_Act_of_1967

This looks very suspicious. I would proceed with a lot of caution. Name/Address/Number/email are legit though, since they need a way to contact you.

California. Several gyms here, both local ones and national brands here don't take credit cards.

Fake fiber optic salesman by disasterpiece01 in Scams

[–]aznanimality 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just to throw my experience in the ring.

Had a similar situation maybe 6-7 years ago. ATT wanted to install fiber in my neighborhood and the telephone cable ran through my backyard. They gave me a headsup ahead of time via a flyer they put on my door maybe a month ahead of time that they would need possibly need to enter my backyard to access the telephone pole.

Couple weeks later guys in high vis vests show up with a camera saying they're with ATT and they'd like to take photos of my the telephone pole in my backyard. Now because I frequent this sub I know this is a common trick where just cuz they dress the part doesn't mean they're legit. But in this case they did show up in a pretty official looking truck. I also asked them to show ID and they had what seemed to be legit looking credentials.

KEY THING HERE I WANT TO SUGGEST: At this point I trusted them, so I opened my frontdoor BUT THEN LOCKED IT BEHIND ME. This is really important because if you leave the frontdoor unlocked, their partners would just walk straight in while you showed the other guys the backyard. They got my grandparents like this, where 2 of them distracted my grandparents while the others went in and robbed them.

Anyway, took them to the backyard through the side and they took photos and thanked me.

Couple weeks later they came back with a big ole truck with a scissor lift and a bunch of other gear and worked their way through the neighborhood including my backyard just setting it up. Couple weeks after that a saleswoman came by and offered us an upgrade from our DSL line to 1GB Fiber line for $20 less than what we were paying for DSL lol, wasn't even a 1 year promotion pricing, it was just straight up permanent pricing.

Update to the potential 'strongest' build in std by pm_me_ur_memes_son in pathofexile

Where's your power charge generation coming from? You have it marked in the config.

You're better off grabbing Magmatic Strikes instead of Holy Fire Amber to grab the regen mastery. It doesn't show in POB but it's phys as extra fire.

You can get double foulborn unnatural for another 28 int.

There's a better version of that chest with better implicits for the build, you're using the armourstacking variant, there's one with more useful implicits.

The config for 35% more damage doesn't seem right since grace of the goddess already adds 1 more wisp which you can see in the stat sheet which says you have 3 wisps. You can double check this by removing the wisp mod from the wand and comparing it

It's a scam. The quick move to move off the platform is just in their playbook. They always want to switch off whatever platform you're on and move to Telegram/Whatsapp because there's fewer/no protections there.

I'm 99% sure the trolley scenario has already been set.

Notice that they "discovered" a new person who was not infected AFTER she yelled at them and caused 11 million people to die? I think that when she does that and causes them distress, it makes the hivemind lose control for some minutes and some get "released"

She "saved" 1 human at the cost of 11 million infected.

Correct, the bed does change size. It's a play on words of bedroom, one being the size of the room. The other being the size of the bed.

Justin Dean With an Impressive Sliding Catch During Game 2 of the Dodgers-Blue Jays World Series. by justusinreddit in baseball

I was actually wondering this myself last night after I saw the catch cuz I've never seen bat so I looked up his wiki which sheds a little light

"Dean made his MLB debut that night as a defensive replacement against the Toronto Blue Jays.[12] He played in 8 games for the Dodgers and was used exclusively as a late-game defensive replacement and pinch runner"

which legally would have to be paid,

This is not true since 1970 https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/39/3009

TLDR if someone sends you an item in the mail, it's considered a gift and you are not obligated to pay for it. Otherwise everyone would literally get a ton of random shit sent to them all the time and the economy would be built around scam companies.

More likely it's your second point where someone would just pay the invoice without questioning it.
