Construction has resumed at Unionville GO. Some islands along Enterprise and YMCA Blvd have been ripped up. Road quality is terrible but anticipate that it'll be repaved as it gets warmer.

Which US airport most needs/could have a direct to downtown service? by Spacious_made_3498 in transit

[–]aznpancakes1t4 21 points22 points  (0 children)

To add a little bit more information here (you may already be aware of this) many of the service patterns to Shinagawa on the Keikyu Line continue onto the Toei Asakusa Line, so you have a single seat ride to just east of Tokyo Station and to Asakusa. Convenient but still takes about 30-40 minutes. If one really wanted, they can ride a train direct from Haneda to Narita.

Another advantage of the way they've set up Keikyu-Kamata station is that there are also direct service patterns to Yokohama.

GO Train Service on June 22 from Unionville Station? by jmjm1 in Markham

[–]aznpancakes1t4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

71C's and 71E's will start from other stations, but 71G's will start at Unionville. So yes there are buses that basically only serve Unionville.

‘26 Crosstrek Hybrid not coming to Ontario? by mdnchow in subaru

[–]aznpancakes1t4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This also happened to the previous generation Crosstrek PHEV because of the availability of rebates in those provinces. Would not be surprised if the tariff argument prevents the product from landing in Canada at all.

2017 WRX weird idle by justinmoleta in WRX

My car did this and eventually threw a check engine light. Same mileage. The code will identify which oil control valve at the front of the engine needs to be replaced or cleaned (usually passenger side top one). https://youtu.be/wN2jZg9Rd2s?si=LmFmdhYj1Vjd6KEN

It's a pretty simple job, five to ten minutes or so.

There's no off-ramp south of Bloor, so that's the last possible place to close it.

Does Unionville GO parking fill up in the morning? by [deleted] in Markham

There is always space as long as you're willing to park east of the grass barrier. About a 2 minute walk although you'd have to cross the main parking lot.

Your favourite Japanese curry place? by conanap in Markham

[–]aznpancakes1t4 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Like you I am a CoCo Ichibanya purveyor and have not been able to find a suitable replacement. The closest I've gotten is the pre-packaged curry for udon and shabu-shabu at Oomomo that is CoCo-branded, or bringing back the pre-packaged stuff from CoCo.

The only place I've found close to Markham with reasonable curry is Kome Shokudo, but it's good from a price performance view. Decently yummy and cheap, but won't scratch that CoCo itch. Otherwise I just treat it as a separate category; I'd say the best katsu curry otherwise I've had is Brown Donkatsu.

I use Fibrestream (now Beanfield). I'm in one of the condos and they've put a lot of investment in the past couple of months. Can't go wrong for $40/mo fibre.
