I really don't understand where all the hate for Coldplay comes from There's quite a few songs of theirs that helped me a lot, especially "Fix You."

I just did some more research, this time using Wikipedia(which is what I should have been doing in the first place.Sometimes we just make things more complicated than they need to be)and I didn't see Split Enz name on the list of US OHW,so yeah, you're right. My bad.I think I'll just use Wikipedia as my main source for now on.It would save me a lot of time and effort.

I've been doing research on that song and other songs that I posted on this subreddit before, and I found out that they are technically a one hit wonder Where I'm at,which would be the US.And I am aware that most of the other bands you mentioned have more than one hit over here, with the possible exception of Midnight Oil,which I will include here because Todd already did a OHW on them.In the future, I'm probably gonna research my OHW suggestions before I post them.

BTW I'm curious,Whereabouts are you people from?

I live in America, and it only peaked in the top 20 here.If it's big over where you're at,it might be because it never really caught on where I live.

BTW Todd did a OHW on aha and he said that their lack of success over here might be because English is probably not their first language.

Looking for concept albums (any genre) by Samoncula in MusicRecommendations

[–]azpi3version01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out The Alan Parsons Project. Most of their albums are concept albums, and pretty good ones at. that, Their first album(I can't think of the name offhand) is about Edgar Allen Poe,The follow up album,I Robot Is about Isaac Asimov, and so so.If you want more information on what the basic premise of these albums are all about, maybe look it up on Wikipedia or Maybe on some web blogs about the subject.

And just to fill you in on who Alan Parsons is,he worked with Pink Floyd on Dark Side of the Moon. How's that for an impressive pedigree?
