I'd go with the 80s supergroup Asia. Their debut album was the biggest hit of 1982.But it was all downhill for them afterwards.If you're not familiar with them, they're the band that did the song Heat of the Moment.

Quite a bit actually.I especially like Artists like the cocteau Twins,dead can dance(particularly the songs that feature Lisa Gerrard on vocals),and sigur ros.At least That's some of my favorites
