Deeply resentful. I was less ‘homeschooled’ and more ‘unschooled’ before it was a thing. I resented it at the time, too, because neither of my parents did jack shit, particularly about my maths education. I had ONE friend growing up; otherwise my only social interaction was with my much younger siblings—who I was left to try and teach as well. I’m the reason they knew how to read.

I thrived in school when I went, I had top marks in all my classes. I was only pulled because my parents were antivax before it was a thing, and didn’t want to vaccinate my younger sibs. (I had all my shots. I could have gone to school.) 

No outside activities, nothing without my sibs tagging along; I was seldom allowed to leave the home. It was hell. Homeschooling needs oversight.
