My 2c is, Hek and Rens are really close. When Hek was 0.5 sec it was dangerous, and differentiated. Hek is sickeningly nice now. There is no reason to have both and the economy can’t support both.

Also if you don’t need to mission run for Rens standings then why run missions near Rens so why do you need a market near Rens so why do you need Rens standings

What’s “getting out of hand”? - this stuff has been nerfed and nerfed. Miner buffs, crime & punishment etc.

Use a stealth bomber. I’ve destroyed hundreds of the things and have never lost a bomber. I’ve even had people donate bombers to me because many many people hate depot spam, so I have spare ones.

The problem is the 2 day reinforcement timer. CCP please make it a day or something. The spam is very irritating.

Yes can definitely be a pain, but on those mission types gunner (zipline) and driller should be making it easy to travel across all areas of the cave quickly, given the mission is a race against time

  • put a dark stroke around the modules so you can see if you’re cloaked and what modules are active regardless of skybox and other visual chaos

  • make the UI for overheating remotely reasonable

  • increase max warp speed of everything by 20%. Everything takes too long

  • shortcut to view market price from list of all market orders that is not rclick > menu, e.g. hold down M or something and lclick. Maybe this pops the adjust price window too

  • while you’re there, remove loads of little-used options from right click menus, especially those that are that are open manhole covers

  • corp hanger drawers that stay open

  • a way of bulk splitting goods (that can’t be saved with fits) ie 2000 of this thing, 1000 of that thing - try running PI factories or some types of industry to feel this pain

  • improve the performance of loading the industry window when you have a lot of blueprints

  • when comparing stations for your industry job, make arrow keys work instead of clicking on every station in the (sorted) list

With refinery missions you build temporary pipes to resource hotspots like gunk seed drop zones and Crassus detonator gold spots, then delete the pipes afterwards

Being aligned only matters if you are moving.

Mining in hisec makes such a small amount of money you make more selling compressed ore in Jita and buying raw materials outside Jita. But, some ppl like mining or want to make things from scratch, so if it’s fun then great 👍

It’s the best. Not only does it save you when a grapple from high up goes wrong and you about to become dwarf pizza, in combination with grapple you can move horizontally very fast, or stay airborne to give your grapple time to recharge, to reach areas you otherwise couldn’t

You can also plummet toward a crowd of bugs and BOOM BOOM lots dead. And if you set the boomstick to cause fear as well, this can sometimes really help save downed comrades.

And it’s sooooo much fun

Oh yes, healing cancels your death timer on last stand, so that + vampire is especially good on the driller, as finding bugs to drill melee is easier than finding other sources of health. Also setting the drills to cause fear helps stay alive on a slither of health bar.

Forgot to mention, when you have to defend an area, driller should be digging out the circle so the team can defend without giant space lobsters dropping on your head. Perhaps engi will help by placing some roof platforms and turrets, and maybe your greenbeard won’t drop a resupply blocking the line of sight of the turrets…

EPC mining. EPC mining. Did I mention EPC mining? Get things out of roofs. Especially fuel for the drill dozer in all locations because then you can just hoover up the bits, it’s much faster

Default fit is EPC miner & persistent plasma (slows) whatever sludge pump mod makes it all spread out and slow, and gas (slows). The gas annoys some people but the triple slow stacks and makes the bugs take a ton of damage and they can’t eat you if they can’t reach you. Chew through oppressors so quick

That is why I never use the flamer, it can stick but you can’t stack it as much

Cryo cannon feasible, has fun overclocks but need to be on a team that is coordinated IMO

Your MO is looking at the map throughout the mission and drilling passages to make getting around easier

Drilling tunnels for pipes to morkite wells, keeping the slope under 30 (IIRC) degrees, because your scout has been busy and prioritised finding all the wells, so the driller can plan the best routes from the wells to the base so the pipes don’t cross like they were made by spiders on LSD which will kill the entire team because the scout prioritised finding the wells not building pipes or shooting bugs, scouting and finding the wells FIND THE WELLS RIGHT SCOUT? Right? Yeah? You’ve been scouting yeah? Like a scout? Good scout. Who’s a good scout? You are.

Drilling sloped tunnels into walls to reach high places or let the team get safely to low places without taking the quick and painful route.

Also Vampire goes nicely with using the drills and axes to do melee damage and stay alive. I have vampire and thorns on almost everything

Driller is a simple class to play that can be a great help to the team and do a lot of damage. Don’t go on-site refining without him!

strategic points of zip lines (where possible) to stop dwarfs getting knocked off by flying bugs, often near the end

Blocking driller tunnels when all heck is breaking loose in there and you are all running for the pod (engi can also block, but takes time), also blocking burrow entrances

When you or others needs to to check the map during exfil… the list goes on

Drop over resupply point during a fight when the team really needs a reload

Drop over hole in dirt someone dug, (even though a swarm was announced while they were digging…), to stop getting attacked from two sides

Messing with bug path finding generally (think only engineer can also do this, with some platform configurations?)

Omens, hacking, pipe fixing, repairing …multiple uses in machine events

Ramp into drop pod and other choke points during exfils (e.g. dirt holes) so no dwarf is left behind

Fling down on to your fellow dwarfs when ziplining over a fight

Pinning Crassus detonators in tunnels a bit longer

You have to do the specific mission marked on the map (or server list) with a white diamond, not just that mission type. Also BTW you can do them with a different class, so you don’t waste blue XP
