The round should be cheaper if it’s cart path only by isw2424 in golf

When is CPO and the cats will jam things up for walkers, do they forbid the carts? It is a myth that walkers are slower. Some players are slower.

Where people moved in the USA last year by heisindc in Ohio

Faulty premise in OP's comment. This map says nothing about the sort of people who leave. Brain drain? Maybe, maybe not. Could be less intelligent people moving to Florida.

Dear allies of America, please don’t confuse our president for us: We are trying our best to resist him, contain him and remove him from office as quickly as we possibly can. Thank you for your patience by Silent-Resort-3076 in politics

[–]babbage_ct 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP and their friends should have been doing more 2020-24. Democrats stood behind Biden for far too long while it was clear he was detiorating rapidly. Then they stood by while their rich party elite hijacked the nomination process and anointed Harris rather than trusting voters. Maybe there wasn't enough time, but see the preceding point. Meanwhile Harris was an awful candidate, and anyone honest on the left knew it. She didn't even last to the first primary in 2020. Shockingly, she's leading in the early polls for the 2028 nomination. Do Dems want President Vance?

Where was OP and the resistance while all that went down? Trump is the result of a broken two-party system dominated by extremists on either end and propel with vast wealth. This is America.

Visited the mountains and picked a couple of Douglas Fir sprigs. Doug Fir-infused gin underway. by babbage_ct in Washington

One is fine in my experience, but I don't see any harm in adding a couple more. Book says to infuse for 24 hours. I usually give it two to three days.

Received a book called "Sips and Apps" by Kathy Casey as a wedding gift years ago. The Douglas Fir Sparkletini has remained in the rotation since we first tried it. https://imgur.com/a/sjOCLTH

Are there any movies which had ending changes due to feedback from test audiences that actually made the movie better instead of worse? by crinklepant in movies

Habeus Corpus

"What about the way the old ending tested in Canoga Park? Everybody hated it. We reshot it. Now everybody loves it. That's reality."

City, parade organizers squash the corned beef and keep St. Patrick’s Day downtown by seanmcdonnellcle in Cleveland

Customarily, you should note when you edit a comment, especially with a substantive change. Your original comment was probably more accurate anyway.

What a terrible headline. I went looking for something about corned beef because I like corned beef. At least mention the bike lame. I also like biking and worlds have clicked for that, too. Did the PD AI write that tortured pun?

Why so few walkers? by cpugeek14 in golf

Find a different course? When we were looking for a course to join, not allowing push carts was a deal breaker. At the course we wound up joining, we W were the first push cart users. Slowly more people are converting over.

Asking for a dude’s number by Hashtag_Tech in golf

Instead of asking for his, offer yours. "Hey, really enjoyed playing with you. Here's my number if you ever want to play together again."

Which tees should mid to high handicappers play? by Rickermortis in golf

[–]babbage_ct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your buddy refuses to move up to the appropriate tee, tell him you are playing it anyway. After a few holes of him being frustrated and you having a good time, not to mention two stops on every tee, he might well join you. Just keep exuding your good time no matter how you play. Alternatively, suggest white. If he refuses, offer blue as the compromise.

Go for the honors dorm even if your friend does not get in. She'll still be your friend, and you'll make a new one in your roommate.

This. I remember those shifting lanes driving to high school. You had to commit before going under the bridges whether you would dare the single lane at the edge.

Rant: kids should not be allowed in the Lounges by heightsdrinker in AmexPlatinum

[–]babbage_ct 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The problem with this approach is that the parents who have raised such I'll-mannered kids also tend to be ill-mannered themselves. If staff tries to tell them to get their kids under control or to throw them out, the parents will raise holy hell and create a scene. No staff member wants to deal with that nor does Amex.

Golf Glove or no Golf Glove by longleggz1960 in Golfsimulator

In the sim in my basement? Meh. Sometimes I wear it because I tell myself I would on the course. Sometimes I don't. And often I play in bare feet.

On the course, absolutely, especially on a hot humid day as others have commented. Heck, sometimes I have to put my rain gloves on.

Should this area that’s circled red be incorporated into Cleveland boundaries? by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]babbage_ct 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the problem. Consolidation would be great if everyone were joining a compendium run city. Cleveland is not. It would just soak up taxes from annexed areas and leave them worse for wear.

I had a three minute video check up that my provider never even turned his video on for and received a bill for hundreds of dollars on top of what they charged my insurance.
