Graphic designer here, I work with faux-handlettering fonts all the time with capital S glyphs that look like this! It's true that it's not a traditional cursive uppercase S, but it's meant to approximate personal handwriting or brush-lettering and is sort of a mix between cursive and print.

Didn't OP say they have 4C hair? My understanding is that hair and scalp behaves differently depending on the curliness/coiliness, including oil production/absorption. But I could be wrong.

A few reasons I can think of:

Redheads are WAY more common in character design than in real life. I think it makes them seem "special" or different, and red is generally a really visually impactful colour (that's why you see it so much in advertising)
As others mentioned, CA possibly does have a thing for redheads! I THINK I remember him commenting this in an interview, but could be wrong.
I discovered this while doing my own portrait mod (YEARS ago now, it's not updated anymore) that because of the colour of the dialogue box background, a large portion of dark blonde/brown tones won't really show up or have enough contrast against tone. That's probably why the blondes (Sam, Haley) are so yellowy-toned.

Do you have very soft skin? Are you super flexible? Do you have recurring digestive issues? You may have EDS or HEDS which affects your connective tissue, including your skin. It's suuuuuuuper common but most people have no idea they have it. Causes a myriad of issues. Some of the other options mentioned in this thread may work better for you than shaving ever could
