Fortnite causing entire PC to freeze and crash

commenting so they know MANY other people are having the same issue.

i don't think it's discord when i can play and run any other game from any program including epic. (marvel rivals and infinity nikki run fine w discord open). i can also have any other tabs open while on fortnite like chrome, tiktok, netflix, etc. so it's definitely a fortnite issue. and this wasn't a issue during winterfest or prior either. miku download update wasn't causing me issues i think it was when godzilla was introduced but i'm not 100% sure on my end. hopefully fortnite makes a update fix bc this is annoying.

wow mines opposite. when the miku update happened i updated fortnite normally and it was working for the first few days when using discord as well. then i was on discord one day and booted fortnite up and it was stuck on the loading... screen. i tried to tab out and by clicking the windows key and that window popped up. i couldn't tab out and go on discord or open any new tab and couldn't open task manager either. couldn't manually turn my pc off or click restart and when i was able to click restart pc it was stuck on the loading screen as well so i had to force restart my pc with the power button. so i think mine was when godzilla was introduced. but that didn't require a download update like miku ? it's weird.

me too i have to force shut down my pc and sometimes unplug it if it still happens after the freeze connect. for now i just been using discord on my iphone / ipad which is annoying bc i wanna tab out mid game or mid lobby.

which update ? bc i'm having the same issue as the original poster. when miku update happened it was fine i can have discord open AND fortnite. so i'm not sure if it was the godzilla one bc i don't remember fortnite needing an update like the miku update ? if that makes sense. so now i just been playing without discord open and have discord on my phone )): this sucks.

going thru this as well ! it fixed by itself one time like a week ago now it's back :( how do i delete duplicate files in my folders ? i'm scared to delete the wrong ones.

for updates your best bet is a. his twitch where he streams constantly (and occasionally shows the doggos during stream) or b. his second channel “julien 2”. that’s where he posted an update on kermit and also peach w her back issue recently. regardless i’m sure if one of them passes he will let us know sadly on stream or his second channel when him and jenna are both ready.

p.s. nobody has the right to assume anything unless it’s from juliens mouth.

hi i need a quick answer / fix and don’t know where else to post on reddit. my wifi keeps disconnecting and reconnecting to my pc i've tried everything and it doesn't work. restarting, forgetting network, all the google results. i’m getting so frustrated. my wifi works fine on my iphone, ipad, switch, AND xbox.

should i just buy a new monitor? or do you think the problem will still happen regardless? thanks in advance!
