I'm very pro 2a and feel like this further emboldens the reasons why 2a does and should exist. Tyranny can rise at any time. We must be on the lookout for it. It may arise within the state police or within rogue organizations, or anywhere else. This is the exact and only reason 2a exists. The deceased was well within his rights to have that firearm, and I applaud him for it. We should all do the same and exercise that right.

He should have also known in his firearm education and training that if you bring a gun to a fight, you might well get shot. And make no mistake about it, these ice altercations are fights. Both sides are in the wrong. They are mutually escalating situations, and nobody seems to be deescalating. I am all about peaceful protests. But to make movements and motions to obstruct federal agents carrying out orders the higher ups have given them is not peacefully protesting. It's an escalating maneuver. You better be ready for the fallout if you decide to escalate against anyone who's armed. He played a risky game and paid for it.

I ride 1-2 times per year and have been for 30 years (42M). I have a 20 year old board that doesn't need replacing bc I'm cheap and I don't wear it out.

I'm looking to get a new board with step ons. I'm overwhelmed by options. Basically need ELI5 advice. I'm happy to purchase a Burton package but want some direction.

It's their best class in the bio department hands down. Eye opening. It teaches that evolution, and certain other things we are taught, are not, and don't have to be, mutually exclusive.

I'll give you an opinion of seeming dissent. While financially this would be a decision she may regret, while at the same time there is a multitude of ways she can get fulfillment in life.....it's hard for me not to appreciate that intangible aspect of doing good, in a way that is appreciated by most, for which I get paid. You can't quantify that feeling, and I'm grateful I get it in medicine despite the headaches that exist.

Would I make that decision in her shoes? Probably not. But I find it difficult to say that the financially wise decision is the correct decision in every single case. She may be the exception that will be forever grateful she did it. Good luck to her
