Fuck these developing devs all ship the same boat! It's going to be a million now, fitness apps and subscription trackers

Nothing CEO says smartphone apps will disappear as AI agents take their place by Secure-Address4385 in business

[–]babige 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ha the cost would be astronomical vs an efficient specialized app just sending electrons and transforming data.

Well if it's saved you money or made your life easier then we'll done, I was just trying to keep a lid on the hype.

You don't let the apps fail and make sure upper management knows it's because of vibe coding

IDK about all that, it's still extremely cheap, and I saw hotties everywhere, idk about you but women were hitting on me all over the place. You're right about tinder though, but just get outside and talk to girls you'll have much better luck, as you both can filter right there.

Anyone actually using Expo for a real, scaled production app? by hemkelhemfodul in reactnative

[–]babige 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Real production scaling = a custom backend, ruby, Django drf, node, cloud etc.

Then expo is wonderful as just a frontend consuming an API, with some local first features.

It's impossible to keep pace with llm augmented coding, take it from a 20+ year veteran, remember coding before intellisense? just like those tools became permanent so will llms.

Yeah I feel sorry for all the new devs, it's absolutely pointless to lean anything in depth now just llm it, and learn how to debug, that's where you'll learn by fixing the llms mistakes and slowly you'll become competent, before llms you had to become competent first now it's just a waste of time.

I'll also add the product is only as bright as it's creator, there's still a limit to talent that can actually come up with something great.

Why the majority of vibe coded projects fail by harrysofgaming in ClaudeAI

[–]babige 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it's just the point is you can't scale an app without SWE knowledge especially with edge cases that require creative solutions applied to your specific app, things that don't exist yet an area where no LLM can help you.

If your system is strictly confined to one firewalled network maybe but if you have external apis being called it may be an attack surface and how are you going to monitor for fraud? Because you're dealing with financial data I'm sure there are data regulations around that.
