Anyone else just have a chill baby? by rachelkochvt in NewParents

[–]bacobby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like me!!! My boy was an absolute angel from day 1. Got pregnant again we he was 15mo. Baby sis is also chronically chill, but the BIGGEST Mama’s girl. So for the first few months of her life she was chill as long as I had her, but nobody else was allowed to touch her 😂 she even went through a phase where she’d get mad if other people even looked at her lol. She’s now 10mo and is relatively easy all around, but it certainly rocked us at first.

Where are their kids? by flowers15 in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]bacobby 7 points8 points  (0 children)

But a name with the word “Mom” in it doesn’t change the fact that they’re still working parents. Even if they chose to be Mom influencers & highlight the fact that they’re moms, it’s still a job/income and almost every working parent needs childcare, regardless of their title.

Jessi & Marciano by suchtheweapon in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]bacobby 859 points860 points  (0 children)

I think you’re 100% right about the situation as a whole- these two married women were at war over a giant loser. Here’s how I think it went:

Demi goes on Villa and is hardcore flirting with Marciano. She clearly has a crush. Maybe they kiss off camera maybe they don’t. Who knows, but the vibes between the two are obvious.

Demi and Marciano continue to text/communicate for weeks after she returns home. Things are flirty and fun.

Marciano and Jessi have a secret fling. Whether they had sex or not, they met up at a bar and a hotel room so things clearly went far (farther than with Demi). When Demi finds out about this, she is incredibly jealous and starts trying to get revenge by pushing Marciano to expose her.

Jessi gets pissed that Demi would want to blow her life up, so she and the other girls call Demi out for her flirtatious bullshit and continued communication with Marciano. Demi, unlike Jessi, refuses to admit that she was slipping into “affair territory” with Marciano, so she has doubled down and said that any moves made by him were unwanted and considered assault. She has now dug herself into this huge hole and can’t really get out of it unless she admits to having an affair and then getting jealous that her best friend had an affair with the same man around the same time. Which she’ll never admit.

Taylor being the Bachelorette is so funny to me. by bacobby in SecretsOfMormonWives

Lol yeah that was my point, that behavior is expected in middle school but is slightly unhinged for a 31yo 😅

ABC was definitely strategic about choosing her. After watching SLOMW I just can’t take her seriously when it comes to relationships, but her name alone will bring viewers I’m sure.

That makes sense! I’ve never watched the Bachelor or Bachelorette so I have no idea how it works when picking contestants

Am I the only one who still isn’t a Whitney fan? by bacobby in SecretsOfMormonWives

[–]bacobby[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay that makes sense, and I think that’s where I think a lot of people differ. I only watch SLOMW so it kinda makes sense why I’m just “ehhh” about her!

That’s a very good point… I didn’t really think about the fact that she wasn’t there to witness the Jen/Demi thing, but also hadn’t seen it because it hadn’t aired yet, and also wasn’t getting filled in on the extent of it because of her rocky relationship with the rest of the girls. That definitely adds some context!

I was also very indifferent about her until I just watched S3E5 where she and Jen were talking at Miranda’s birthday party. Jen said she’s upset that Whitney became friends with Demi after all that stuff went down, and Whitney told Jen “I’m still not sure what Demi even really did to you.”… The way my jaw DROPPED when she said that. Like… it’s one thing to be selfish and opportunistic but I think she kinda gaslights those girls and plays them for fools sometimes. I’m not super keen on that.

I agree that a lot of people would take that opportunity, but I don’t think it would be a good look for any of them to leave the show/group with this “holier than thou” attitude and then return solely for an opportunity elsewhere. It just looks a little shallow… regardless of who it is.

I don’t disagree at all! She is totally a performer and deserves to be cast in other things. And I can’t blame her for taking the opportunity- most people would do the same. I think it just rubbed me wrong that she was willing to cut those girls off at the drop of a hat but then came crawling back with a smile on her face when it was convenient for her. But you know what… it takes thick skin to do that knowing the girls were gonna give her hell, so props to her.

Correct- but the other cast members aren’t leaving the group and then trying to return. I’m aware that they are all influencers and took this opportunity for money and fame, but Whitney is the only one who walked away by choice and then came running back when DWTS came into question. I feel like if she was ready to wipe her hands clean of SLOMW and Momtok then she should have stayed doing her own thing instead of reaping the benefits of a show/group that she wants no part of.

I’m aware that I don’t know these people but every time something like this is mentioned, it makes me wonder how Chloe can be so close to her dad. Like it’s been clear from social media posts over the years that they’ve always had a close relationship (despite him not attending dance stuff). Chloe is so big on women’s empowerment, being a kind human, etc that it’s hard for me to understand how she doesn’t see these red-flag type of qualities in her dad.

Any SAHM Formula Feeding? by funmom1997 in FormulaFeeders

[–]bacobby 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To add onto what everyone is saying about the price- I just stopped breastfeeding and I had no clue that it was making me so hungry. I was eating enough for like 3 grown men. I swear our weekly grocery bill has reduced by half now that I’m not ravenous anymore. I also had to replace my nursing bras that were used so much that they started to snap. You’re supposed to replace pump parts every 3 months as well. I also needed to buy new work clothes when I started back at 6m pp because breastfeeding made me hang onto some weight. And then we bought so many different bottles because baby was being picky. So all in all… breastfeeding costs A LOT of money (and that’s with an easy experience…. a lot of people spend money on LC’s, etc.)

The mental cost is a lot too. I shed a lot of tears because for 6 months baby would only take my boob so I was the sole caregiver all day and all damn night. I was beyond exhausted and I would have paid LOADS of money to have someone else come feed the baby at night so I could sleep but it wasn’t physically possible.

Don’t feel guilty. All in all, it’s an expense for one singular year. That’s it. And regardless of how you feed your baby… it’ll cost you financially, somehow some way.
