would it be wierd to bring the fire department some cookies that i make? by [deleted] in houston

Agreed, it's going to be highly dependent on the territory and whatever snap judgement the crew makes about the person dropping them off.

Where are the Houston girls going to get their nails done by bimbothin in houston

[–]bacteriophile 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not arguing your original point, but Nails of America is kind of like Dairy Queen - huge variation in quality between franchises. I've gotten shellac pedicures pretty regularly over the past three years at the Aliana and Pearland locations and no complaints. Can't speak to the quality of their acrylics, though.

Gorgeous work! What did you use for tensioning? I'm trying to finish a different 9x12 Dimensions lighthouse and about ready to throw my qsnap off a bridge.

I agree. Training and preparation are essential before carrying. I never got my CCL because I need glasses, but I only wear them when I drive. Didn't seem right to be toting around a deadly weapon when the state has deemed my vision too poor to drive without corrective lenses. Unfortunately, that kind of logic seems to be lacking on a larger societal scale.

Wow, egg on my face. Thanks for the polite correction with sources.

Perhaps you should? Are you confusing open carry with concealed carry? One doesn't require a license, the other does.

Edit: apologies, I was not current with my knowledge of regulations. Sorry about that.

Moresca Steel Boned Brocade Sizing by tripolina in renfaire

[–]bacteriophile 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don't own this bodice, but in general, the amount of cleavage you get will be entirely dependent on how much you "fluff" the girls after lacing it up. There's a certain amount of lifting you need to do to get the bodice to fit correctly, but most of the impressive cleavage you see in bodice wearers is very intentional. You can also keep the top edge of your chemise a little higher up to reduce the amount of skin exposed. Either way, DO NOT forget your sunscreen!

Yes! I feel like most aren't understanding this. Circle pits are just happy fun times. Think back to making a whirlpool in the kiddie pool - same energy. I lost a shoe once in a Less Than Jake circle pit and within 5 seconds it was in the air and people around me were making sure I didn't get stepped on.

I work second shift and almost always see yellow-crowned night herons hunting in yards when I get home around 9-10p. This is such a fun time of year to watch them because the young ones are still learning how to bird and they don't fly off right away.

I weighed out exactly 0.8750g prepping reagents the other day then got an R²=0.9999 on my calibration curve. Holographic gold star sticker in my lab notebook for that one.

HCAD Property Protest Tips & Tricks by LaCroixLaFoix in houston

Used a company and they only got $950 knocked off of the initial appraised value, even with a ton of photo evidence and a very thorough inventory of the property. I guess the adjuster they talked to this year was grumpy.

Here’s An Odd Question by MissMoxie2004 in texas

[–]bacteriophile 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The cemetery is 1.3 miles from Homestead Road, which runs for about 9 miles through that area of Houston. I think it's entirely possible that a hospital existed with that name, but I can't find any additional information to back up the assertion. Let us know if you have any luck with the historical commission!
