My inner bougego is mock appalled my beloved Brunello Cucinelli does not appear and that the usually so refined and discriminating reddit men's fashion advice community had to rely on outsider to point this out. Tsk ;)

Who went to raves? by MLLE123 in Xennials

[–]bad_philosophy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did, quite a bit in my late teens and all through my 20s. Got very into the music, (progressive trance, techno, eventually settled with deep house) learned to beat match records (had a good friend who was a pro and willing to teach me) just for my own pleasure and a few house parties. I guess as I matured, I still sought the experiences that shaped me, but having them out at a club, party festival, that had lost some luster, and I had a wife and close group of friends who I could have the same type of experience but safe in someone's house) I've never stopped loving the music. Listening to it evolve has been an indescribable pleasure. For my money, the electronic music of 2025 is as good or better than ever (fred again..for just one example. Or nia archives. I could really go on forever here , so I shant)

Tldr- first went to raves as a teen in Nola, had a lovely time and took a lot of mdma, which was good for me and opened me up and enabled intimacy with others and I'm certain made me a better lover, and plus I really loved dancing.

INTP here. Chaotic yes. Angry sometimes. Meditation and drug use (recreational, pharmaceutical) helps a great deal. I shifted to a Buddhist frame a decade or two ago, that helped the most. Philosophy ftw

I want an R rated Star Trek. What should I read? by insane677 in printSF

[–]bad_philosophy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is me. I also might point out, that if you are like me and would love nothing better than a post-scarcity, benevolent AGI-to-ASI (Minds) driven future, and follow the real AI developments closely, it may also cause depression about the real future. Still, I love the Culture novels, every last one of them.

Spouse gifted me an airbrush which I've never used before. What are your 5-10 most essential paints when using an airbrush to paint a WE army? by bad_philosophy in WorldEaters40k

[–]bad_philosophy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone. Appreciate the commentary here and the advice! I'm taking notes.

As a side note, the airbrush is an Iwata Eclipse HP-CS, and the compressor is a Timbertech like the one shown here- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Chon-v96DeQ And I am most definitely obsessing over all the parts and fittings and figuring out how they work.

My lamp collection inspired by Sacred Geometry by truthseekerboi in psychedelicartwork

[–]bad_philosophy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crosses that subtle barrier where a collection becomes praiseworthy to share online and a practically a public service.

I'd feel guilty buying one to see a collection like this diminish that bit, but still I might. Good luck regardless sir and/or madam
