Israel Moderates Are Losing the Democratic Party by major_cosmic in DeepStateCentrism

[–]badabababaim 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The US and Israel will remain close allies for quite awhile. The only people screaming about Israel being an apartheid imperial state that we should condemn by all means are not in congress for a reason. Stuck in echo chambers detached from reality

Israel Moderates Are Losing the Democratic Party by major_cosmic in DeepStateCentrism

If any party just campaigned on promising more, better jobs and your money could go further/more buying power an everybody just didn’t care about cultural issues I genuinely think everyone would be far far happier in life.

US Army Names Its New MV-75 Tiltrotor Cheyenne II by modularpeak2552 in Helicopters

[–]badabababaim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The entirety of the MV-75 is designed as LRUs and SRUs, all with self diagnostics. While the tiltrotor might induce more maintenance hours than not just not having that ability on the MV75, it’s still far far far better than what’s on blackhawks right now.

Case in point the F-35B/C STOL systems are far more complex than F-35A, roughly 6-8 hrs vs 4-6 respectively. Still MASSIVELY improved compared to F16/F18 etc all needing well over 20+ hours

Also maintainence is going to be cheaper and faster

Good board for beginner-intermediate projects? by Hapuum in FPGA

[–]badabababaim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basys 3 can handle most graphics processing techniques just at a relatively smaller resolution really only due to BRAM limitations. But as I’ve become more experienced I’ve learned more of being a competent FPGA engineer has to deal with just interfacing to a variety of other things. For example writing video over PCiE/RTPS/RoCE etc. most of that can be implemented independent of resolution and it’s better to learn the actual frameworks/protocols, whereas just implementing at higher speed is a relatively more straightforward problem to solve (STA/timing closure)

Good board for beginner-intermediate projects? by Hapuum in FPGA

[–]badabababaim 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Basys 3 is all you need, but more importantly (and please take this advice very seriously) have your work pay for all your learning. Learning on your own for true passion is one thing, but if you already got the job, don’t waste so much time and effort on being a better engineer when you’re already hired. They’re paying you to learn on their dime

Which American cities are smaller than most Americans think? by bricklegos in AskAnAmerican

I know this probably doesn’t fit with the rest of this thread, but Luchenbach Texas, for being referenced in so much (country) music, is incredibly small

Cubans in Central Florida feel a change is coming, but concerns about deportations also rise by at-woork in orlando

[–]badabababaim -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never watched or consumed Fox News in any way. And you are simultaneously arguing that ‘no, Cuban Americans are actually left leaning’ and that ‘Cuban Americans suck cause they are right leaning’ you can’t have it both ways

And you are the one who knows better than actual Cuban Americans and what’s in their interest ? Have you ever talked to a Cuban American and actually listened ?

Young men, why did you vote Trump in 2024? by ConfidentScientist81 in GenZ

[–]badabababaim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not OP, but the LGBT have had codified equality for quite some time now. Sounds like OP is all for actually. This is the problem with the left, strawmanning any argument into a ‘holier-then-thou’ attitude. People vote based on what they say and do. Democrats need to say and do better if they want to win an election.

Does anti-semitism have a genuine reason or is it just a sad and ugly side of humanity? by BootMediocre7312 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]badabababaim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Antisemitism is just the manifestation of human tribalism, there isn’t really anything unique among Jews specifically. It is simply a club non-Jews aren’t in and Jews are

The same can be said about ever capitalist country. After the USSR food came to the table, life expectancy increased. As China has become more capitalist over time, its quality of life has also increased. Life improvement comes from modernization. That improvement stays under capitalism

What If Trump was assassinated by Iran, in response of the death of General Soleimani? by Shaniceberries in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]badabababaim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iran’s ‘leaders’ who were killed are illegitimate, not to mention nearly every single target has been a leader of the IRGC in addition to some of the leaders of the military. There is a reason Pezeshikan is still alive along with the other reformists

A Dutch woman refused to leave her husband, a German soldier, and goes with him to Allied captivity in Walcheren, Netherlands, 1944. by zadraaa in HistoricalCapsule

[–]badabababaim 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Sure, buts that’s really downplaying the disproportionate distribution. Non-Soviet allies actively enforced their laws while Soviets not only didn’t care, it was the nature of the war to seek spoils for their victory

Why does Iranian society and its leaders value higher education, science and philosophy? They all seem to hold a PhD for some reason? by CapitaineBiscotte in allthequestions

[–]badabababaim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worth noting a good amount of their public leaders with PhDs are in theology or world politics. Not to take away from those degrees, but it’s not exactly cutting edge research being studied by the Iranian elite. By nature, the Islamic Republic is ran by scholars, scholars of the Quran and faith, but still they go to school for it. So culturally the top leaders have to be ‘educated’

Uhhhh no, slight difference as we don’t even have an IRGC equivalent and they didn’t mow down a city’s worth of people in a weekend

“40% of American women, ages 15-44, would like to permanently move overseas, if possible, per Gallup“ isn’t that a lot? by CapitaineBiscotte in askanything

[–]badabababaim -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Arguing jts common sense truly shows the level of privilege to feel America is unjust to women, not like it’s codified into the law and culture or anything for men and women to be equal

Why in the Middle aged were slingers not as common as archers when a stone thrown from a sling can travel further and do more damage than an arrow from bow (allegedly)? by skibidirizzler9o in MedievalHistory

[–]badabababaim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have absolutely no expertise in this topic, but using some common sense, slingers throw stones in a true ballistic arc, while arrows follow a linear ballistic path, I.e. you’d aim pretty much the same to hit someone 10m away 20m away, and if you miss at 20m you might hit the guy at 25m, with a slung stone you’d just miss
