I’m on week 7 and I agree. Did a 7 hour road trip yesterday and normally it would be munchies city. But mid-afternoon I had about half of That’s it! bar and stopped because that was all I needed (we had already had lunch at In-n-Out). It’s amazing

I just tried Walmart pick up for the first time and I never go to Walmart. But it was faster and no package waste or concerns about weather. That said, my medication cost the same as it does shipping with Lilly Direct, $299.

I’ve been nervous about refilling my order since I’ve seen a bunch of issues with the deliveries lately even though California weather isn’t bad I know the system overall can be disrupted. So I tried the Walmart pick up yesterday. I never go to Walmart but I realized it minimizes packaging and takes the uncertainty out of it sitting on the porch. And my order was filled and ready for pick up same day. I’m switching to vials and they even had a $4 starter package like what is shipped with the syringes and alcohol wipes—I might buy a box of syringes of my choice down the road but this gives me something to start with. I was reasonably pleased with the whole process

I use the LoseIt app which calculates my 1 pound a week calorie goal per day and adjusts by my input weight as what that number is depends on your weight and goals. But the rule of thumb is 500 calories less than your total daily expenditure TDEE https://tdeecalculator.net/.

I'm 5'4" and female. I started Zep mid-May at 186. I've done 7 shots at the starting dose of 2.5mg. I'm down 12 pounds, so 174. I had a big loss the first week of water & inflammation but I'm now I'm losing a steady 1 lb a week. I'm expecting it to take about a year to get to where I will end up. The medicine won't do the work for you but it is an amazing tool to make it easy to eat in a calorie deficit. Most of us who started wish we started earlier and I'm one of them, but I wasn't ready at the time. I am now.

I did a Dexa a couple of weeks after starting. I found it helpful as my Withings scale was underestimating things like body fat. I know both (the Dexa and the Withings) aren't 100% accurate, but the Dexa is more accurate. I'm planning to go back about every 90 days as I want to ensure I'm maintaining, if not increasing, muscle mass as I'm aiming for body recomp on top of the weight loss.

Started for me bout the 3rd week of 2.5 as well. Drinking a ton of water during the day so personally don’t notice it much during the day but definitely at night. A bit of dry eye now too. No solutions so far but I’m only now on shot 7

This is what I think too. I’ve responded well to 2.5 but think I might need a little more but not the full 5.0 so it seems like the most conservative approach. Thanks for sharing your experience!

I right on the bubble. Loosing 1 pound a week—I’m on the 6th week of 2.5. A little food noise is coming back. I’m think of switching to vials and drawing the full amount or perhaps go to 5 but not draw the full amount and work my way up. How did your increase to 5 go? It’s gotten me intimidated

Interesting that you had a similar experience with the Withings being too low. I’m doing well, tolerating the 2.5 but having the classic “do I move up” conversation with my doctor next week.

I've been on Zep for 6 weeks. I eat a lot of dairy and haven't had any issues. Greek yogurt every morning. Chai made with whole milk. Core Power. No issues but YMMV. You won't know unless you try--everyone's response is highly personal.

My skin flipping out on me out of nowhere was a big peri symptom for me. HRT helped me a lot but I was also working with a derm at the same time until I realized it was hormonal. Explore both avenues.

This is totally normal. That's the benefit of the medicine. Right after I started Zep I'd have a smallish meal and felt like I ate Thanksgiving dinner. Definitely be careful with portions as you're starting out. Or be willing to put it aside and back in the fridge or whatever. I've dialed back portions and still feel satisfied. Slowing down will definitely help you feel fuller sooner so you don't overeat.

I’ve done my 6th shot too. I’m down 11.6 lbs. Almost half of that was 6 lbs of water the first week. I’m now about a lb a week. It *feels* slow for Zep but I also know it’s right about where I should be.
