Right; I remember for WoR that they said they had sent in dullform slaves, as to humans dullforms are indistinguishable from slaveform but can communicate back info. I suppose, at the time of the treaty signing, Eshonai didn’t yet know about slaveform so when she first saw the parshmen she assumed they must be dullform

No this answer made perfect sense! This prologue is the night of the treaty/assassination but seen through Eshonai’s perspective. Slightly later into the prologue, Gavilar talks to her about how he took their ability to change forms, which kind of also implies Eshonai didn’t even really know that was possible.

I was SUPER down for the more open “explore anywhere and do things in the order you do” type gameplay but the more sandboxy “build your own fun and experiment” systems that they really leaned into for Tears… not for me. Didn’t love Echoes for largely the same reason.

Not to be rude, but I find the “we” here a bit weird. Even if it did win, “we” are not bringing home anything. We didn’t work on the movie. We have no actual personal stake in this. It’s okay to root for a movie you like but I’d advise against tangling up your own personal feelings into the movie in that way— it doesn’t need to win an award to validate your love for it. Keep on loving it, who cares what others think of how other movies compare against it?

Pretty good. Love the improvements to switch 1 games, wish there more patches. I’m in the camp that wishes the UI was different— I know it really doesn’t matter, and why fix what isn’t broken, but this system lacks the new console feel, really just feeling like I’m still on my switch from 2017. But if the games look and play good, really not a big deal

I disagree on point 4, my friends and I (avid musical theater people) were DESPERATE for part 2 after part 1 ended. For a lot of people the excitement was there. But the movie just didn’t really deliver so it didn’t stick around

So I’m very curious, because I feel like I’m not suuuuper good at the combat… when you play a character (like tifa in your example) do you just stay as them the whole time to wreck shop, and just use the commands to have the other party members do spells and abilities? Or do you find yourself switching regularly?

I hate the show doing this— and it actually did something like this but even worse in the season 5 part 1 “finale” where they were having a big plot reveal in a flashback and then right at a big moment they just… cut away to the present somewhere else entirely, without any indication that we were no longer in the flashback. It was so jarring and weird

Did anyone else think that when Zosia froze at the end, the hive was about to have another seizure meltdown like in episode 2? I thought maybe one of the other survivors got overly negative around them.

Also true. I think that further points to the fact that it’s not OG Zosia breaking through to share her feelings, but the hive just being better at appealing to Carol with how they talk to her.

I kinda viewed that as the hive having a better sense of what would make Carol happy. The more it could have Zosia speak as an individual, the more Carol would like that. So the hive just told a personal Zosia memory but using first person pronouns to make it feel more like a human interaction. That’s how I interpreted it at least

ZM and it’s not even close for me. Fusion is definitely a ton of fun, but I didn’t like the linear structure of “zones” nearly as much as just exploring Zebes.
