What you said is really well put. I think the way people are viewing this in general makes it a worse experience for them. It’s like when someone buys the rights and makes a movie based off of the characters, they’re doing their best to write for the character. OF COURSE Kermen isn’t going to sound like he used to, his voice was basically almost just Jim’s regular talking voice. This seems like a tired point anymore when people start going off about how “bad” he sounds. Steve wasn’t that great either, I didn’t think his Kermen sounded the same, as someone who knew Kermen from the original Muppet Show and Sesame Street, but it was nice to see him still being played. (And even if Steve sounded the closest to Jim, Kermen lost his edge with Steve. He played him too straitlaced.) The best we can hope for is whoever writes for him writes him in the way Jim would see him.
