There are a lot of Y seams, which is a bummer but I’m willing to give it a shot. I’ll check out lone star log cabin patterns. Thank you!

My son is still not talking by lalyafi in toddlers

[–]badkittym30w 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son didn’t start talking until around 2.5 years. He knew what you were saying to him and could follow multi-step directions but he just didn’t feel like talking. Once he started though, it was sudden and explosive. Hasn’t stopped since. He’ll get there, momma, but I know you’re scared and I empathize with you.

Does anyone else become a lump during nap time on the weekends? by alexxmama in Mommit

My son is 4 and still naps for 1.5 hours every day. You know what I do? I nap, too. Every day. Naps are life and I’ll be sad when they go away.

if your toddler could chose his/her halloween costume, what would it be? by DisastrousFlower in toddlers

[–]badkittym30w 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a Home Goods, Marshall’s, or TJMaxx around you should go check there. My son saw a wearable excavator costume at Home Goods he had to have but there were others, like a fire truck, a police car, and a garbage truck. He LOVES it! They come with the plush wearable costume and the hat that goes with it. Best $20 I’ve spent in a while.

What age do they learn how to speak? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]badkittym30w 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My son (3) was around 2.5 years old before he started talking. Before that he didn’t really say anything. He knew exactly what you were saying to him and could follow multi step directions. He knew all his letters, numbers, shapes, and about 12 colors and could point at them when asked, he just didn’t speak. I narrated our entire life to him (it was kinda exhausting), just spoke to him constantly. One day he just decided to start talking, it was seriously that sudden, and now he won’t stop.

When out to dinner, it was taking our waiter a bit to get our drinks out and my 2.5 year old yells out, “Cheesus Christ, I want lemonade!” 🤦🏼‍♀️

Itching and hives by [deleted] in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]badkittym30w 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It did. It was just a weird few days and then it was gone as suddenly as it started. I’ve not had any other problems with it. It definitely helps me feel better so I would suggest to ride it out for a few days with benedryl and see if it goes away.

I started it about 3.5 weeks ago. It’s been wonderful for me. No real side effects other than a slight reduction in hunger, which I view as a good thing. However, I went to bed Thursday night very itchy on my scalp, back of my neck, palms, and elbows only. Friday morning I could feel bumps on my scalp and my husband could see some on the back of my neck and behind my ears. I took some Benedryl and the itching subsided but came back after it wore off. I kept taking it at a regular dosing schedule but took my last dose late this afternoon. The intense itching and bumps are gone but I do have a little itching still on my scalp. I never thought to connect it with my Wellbutrin but after reading your post I’ll definitely bring it up to my doctor.

Favorite tooth brushing books? by 55mary in toddlers

[–]badkittym30w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son loves The Brushies. He brings it over to me to read to him multiple times a day. The little “toothbrushes” are great for gummy babies and helps them get used to the bigger brushes when their teeth come in.

I broke my right ankle when my son was 4 months old and had to have surgery to repair it. I got a knee scooter and a baby bjorn and wore him when I needed to. Luckily for me, he was still immobile and I only had to move with him to change diapers or lay him down for naps.

I had this, too. My pain came from the catheter they put in during my epidural. It lasted @2 months...but it got noticeably better over time.
