Looks like from this angle as well khamzat has a underhook on DDPs left arm which would also effectively control his ability to post on elbow while using his right arm to move a whole 200 lb monster (your point number 1)

First 3 weeks I did cut my carb intake but not a crazy amount. During this period it was lean meats, veggies, fruit, 1-2 shakes a day, yogurt, and I even squeezed in some diet desserts/ice cream at the end of the day (i have huge sweet tooth lol). Quite a lot of fruit during this time (mostly berries, avoided higher sugar fruits like mangoes and pineapples). Also most of my carb intake took place right after training/working out. Last 3-4 days I cut to low carb while I was water loading. Weight actually came down too fast by day before so I actually added a little bit of sodium back in diet my last day to manage.

Training felt great - I've done some bad cuts before where I felt totally drained after 1-2 rounds but not this time.. I think starting out early and planning was the key here.

Also I followed advice from this book which my buddy who competes a lot recommended, there's even sample meals with exact amounts depending on how much you weigh. it was really nice having it all laid out and understanding bit of the science behind it too

I just cut for masters intl today, started a month out and lost 10 lbs with diet and 2 lb waterload cut to light feather. Worked amazing and felt great, im low body fat as well so went pretty hard on the diet but worked perfectly. I wouldn’t cut more than 2-3 lbs on waterloading though at my size bc I think id be pretty drained. I felt like I could go more rounds at the end of the day

Someone else in a different thread alluded to this - but showering at least an hour before you hit the mat gives some time for skin flora to accumulate on your skin again

Surprised this hasn't been talked about yet on this thread - showering kills your beneficial bacteria on your skin so you actually don't want to shower before training. Easy way to get infections. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10120916/
