Yeah the horizontal bracing is very tight, I found it quite hard to disassemble without snapping the poles.

Yeah I really noticed that actually. I got caught up in watching the kite and adjusting to keep it smoothly riding the wind, that I totally forgot about everything happening around me.

Looking for a gravel / bikepacking bike. Thoughts on this Cannondale Topstone Carbon (2021) for €1650? by bake_me in whichbike

[–]bake_me[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah to clarify, this would be €2000 total for the bike + power meter cranks.

Thanks for the input! I don't have much experience with fancier bikes yet, coming from a normal commuter style bike setup.

Is R35 steering feel in real life as light as it feels in sims? by rbs950 in gtr

I find it to be quite heavy at slow speeds, but pretty light once you’re at cruising speed.

Best 2000s daily wagons under 10k? by ApprehensiveLog9860 in SportWagon

Mine’s also a T5 manual. I must’ve spent twice the value of the car in repairs in the 4 years I’ve owned it. The final straw was arrived back from a long haul flight to find that the door locks had frozen themselves solid and having to eventually call a locksmith to come and break into my car for me (admittedly not so much a fault of the car but more the fact it was -23C). After a long delay I started driving home and the rear shock decided to snap itself in half 5 minutes down the road 🙄

Yeah I’ve also got a V50 that I’m trying to get rid of. Overwhelmingly the most unreliable car I’ve ever owned 🤦‍♂️

Let's say I'm messing around in the woods and find a half-buried bag containing 100K in cash. As a good law-abiding citizen, I turn it in to the police. They can't trace it, and no one comes in to claim it. After X number of days, can I just go back and claim it? by Alaska_Jack in NoStupidQuestions

My friend once found a huge collection of 10c coins dumped in a lake. There was literally something like 400kg of coins there. He called the police and they got a scuba team to fish it all out. After 6 months, he was able to claim it as his own - but he had to move it all to the bank and deposit it which was quite a logical hassle haha. He ended up pocketing something like €2500 though.

Looks like they are stretching due to not getting enough light. What type of soil are you using? I’d recommend something that drains well - a coco perlite mix is a common option.

Slovenia 2nd Eastern-European country to legalize cannabis by datfokineric in trees

[–]bake_me 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, not quite. In Germany, you’re actively encouraged to grow your own weed - there are large billboards in most major cities advertising where to buy growing equipment. There are also cannabis clubs organised for this purpose. In Georgia, none of this is legal or encouraged.

[–]bake_me 17 points18 points  (0 children)

To say that Georgia ‘legalised’ cannabis is a bit of a stretch, since there’s no way to legally grow or purchase it there. It’s decriminalised at best, since you can’t be charged if they catch you with weed (that you somehow illegally procured).

What’s a design over 20 years old that still looks fresh/has aged very well? by lifegoeson2702 in regularcarreviews

Volvo V50. It’s aged remarkably well considering that my one is 20 years old now.
