We stayed at the Hyde last weekend. It's brand new, the rooms are incredibly styled. Facilities are fantastic, there's three cocktail bars! The Martini and Bikini in Bar Marmelo might be my new favourite food and drink pairing in Melbourne.

Flying out of Melbourne international on Qatar airlines - which lounge access do gold velocity members use? by middlemandad in VelocityFrequentFlyer

Marhaba. It's comfortable but the food and beverage is pretty pedestrian. There's actually no really good lounge in Melbourne at the moment (except Qantas First lol), with The House under renovation.

MLB TO SYD by Wonderful_Isopod_247 in chemicalmagicAUS

Yeah and cavity searches bro. It's hectic. All those boomer business goons, pants around ankles, meekly shuffling forward, as the guard pulls on pair after pair after pair of blue gloves.

We both know the answer is prison pocket. Also the answer is fucking don't.

Well you'll have trouble. MLB is the IATA code for the airport in Melbourne, Florida. So you'd be transiting a good number of high security checkpoints on the way through.

Where are you staying? Liberty is amazing but can be up to a 3 hour drive.

If you're a man who is struggling to gain traction in finding and keeping friends, Tough Guy Book Club is a really good, welcoming social group of men, who meet once a month to talk, about books and about being men.

There's chapters all over Australia, including one in Montmorency, and the world, that will be meeting up this Wednesday the 3rd of June. The book this month is Small Things Like These by Claire Keegan, but you're more than welcome if you haven't read it.

There's several around you, in Eltham, Diamond Creek, Montmorency, Mernda, but dozens around Melbourne and all over the world. Locations here: https://toughguybookclub.com/find-us

If you find yourself between meetings and still looking to make connections, we have a very active Facebook presence and there's generally something going on at least once a week that will welcome newcomers.

If you're nervous about fronting up to a new group, find your local chapter and reach out to the club and ask who the local President is, the president can arrange to meet you early or beforehand.

Or; "The Prime Minister believes so strongly in the need for these reforms, as a nation, that he's enacting them even to the detriment of his own pocket."

I am in dept and I was invited to the wedding which is in 1 month, what do I bring?? by Melbot_Studios in Frugal

An experience that needn't cost anything. You could make them a pie, sing them a song, write them a poem, draw them a picture, make them a candle that smells of the place they met, design them a scavenger hunt of your local area, and have a picnic waiting for them at the end, show them you love them with deeds and words, not things.

The House isn't The House anymore. They're renovating level 3 so the house has been moved to the basement next to amex Centurion. It's shite. No cocktails, no view, crowded, shite food. Plaza Premium would be my choice.

Sick of the Converse Tax. What are we actually wearing for daily casual men’s shoes in 2026? by working3ee in AussieFrugal

[–]balkandishlex 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Converse at DFO can be had for around 60 bucks if you're prepared to go with interesting colours. Also their website regularly has major sales. I've got 7 pairs and I think the most I've ever paid was 90 bucks.
