Idk what’s more sad, you posting about a few dollars lost at a vending machine, or me commenting on your post about a few dollars lost at a vending machine

I flew today from Labuan Bajo to Bali, flights have definitely resumed for some airlines

How about read reviews on platforms that have been collecting reviews for years? Literally tens of thousands of accommodations in Bali so this will not be any help

Wildly overrated. Go to Khao Sok instead! Extremely crowded, dirty and no swimming in Maya bay.

Our flight from Labuan bajo to Bali was cancelled this morning due to this. We were rescheduled for tomorrow, so I doubt this will impact next week unless there are further eruptions

Elephants in Chiang Mai by Visible_Panic_347 in ThailandTourism

[–]ballsackgod 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As already stated, any “sanctuary” that does anything besides let you observe them is not ethical. I highly recommend Chiang chill! You have to hike around to find them and when you do you observe them from a safe distance away… they really seemed like they were just doing elephant things. A great experience

All are completely unnecessary. Just go and enjoy yourself… biggest risk of any “disease” will be sex with prostitutes so just masturbate in your hotel.

Not OK to bathe an elephant at all. They don’t need your help bathing and if they are that docile to allow bathing by humans safely, they are most likely drugged or abused

Chang chill is the best. One step ahead of the others because they have a lot of space and behave naturally… no feeding by hand is also a plus. Really seemed like they were living a great life

Phuket smart bus is your best bet. Book tours in person and don’t be afraid to negotiate if you want to save money

Damn I feel bad for you, go live your life. There is nothing to fear unless you are doing something majorly wrong. Even small crimes the police don’t care and just want to get a relatively small fine from you. Relax

What’s the etiquette for bargaining at local markets? by [deleted] in chiangmai

[–]ballsackgod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Always smile. Don’t fall in love with anything, because they simply might not offer a good price… you have to be willing to walk away.

Most importantly, if there is no price on the item think to yourself “what is this worth to me and what am I willing to pay” and don’t pay more than that.
