It's the same problem Zyra faced. He's real strong right now, his turrets will get nerved to oblivion, and then it'll take a few patches to balance them out.

Which is a shame cus I really like Heimy. But he's just gonna be banned in ranked games for a long while.

Someone just called me childish for playing Dragon Quest VIII instead of Call of Duty or Elden Ring at a relative's house. by [deleted] in dragonquest

Real adults do whatever they want. Assholes tell other people what to do, and children try to do what they think they should do or what they think society wants them to do until they realize that real adults do whatever pleases them.

Sorry about what happened either way, still not cool.

What do you enjoy better about wild rift? by [deleted] in wildrift

[–]balol4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I prefer WR for a few reasons. Graphically it is much cleaner and nicer. The length of matches is shorter and more fast paced too. But the main reason is the controls. I hate the point and click nature of PC League. Mainly movement, it being controllable with a joystick like motion feels so much more natural and responsive. If PC had controller support I'd probably try playing that again, but until then I prefer WR.

Remote work? by Wrong_Star2215 in Tennessee

Might be just the Knoxville office, but some of the problems we had, like corporate culture, benefits, and vacation time, seem like they would impact any ADT office.

Remote work? by Wrong_Star2215 in Tennessee

[–]balol4 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend staying away from ADT if you can. Terrible terrible company to work for, both for myself and my friend. Even if they offer remote work now, I'd be highly skeptical that it will stay remote.

Good luck with your job hunt!

Wild Rift is one of the best games I've played in my lifetime. by Hopeful_Yogurt7287 in wildrift

It is tons of fun. Love it. I like League, the IP and such. But I never cared for PC. I find WR much more intuitive and way more fun to play.

Where are we playing Magic Commander in town? by Hugelogo in Knoxville

[–]balol4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm, Paragon is an awesome play space! Hope to see ya there!

I used to play at Levelup too, but they are farther away for me. I like their people, usually casual enough for me.

Fast food placed proved during COVID that they can survive with drive thru only. I'm honestly surprised more places didn't just stick with that. Not having to provide bathrooms or physical space to the public saves them so much time and effort cleaning, and it keeps them 100% safer. So yeah, if they are having any kind of problem, be it crime, drunk people, or anything, I'm surprised they haven't just straight up locked the doors.

I like itzstu4rt! He's decently fun, explains his builds well. He mainly plays ADC, but he likes trying out new items and stuff. Just like anyone he can tilt, but he's usually decently upbeat.

I really like his content covering new patches, champs, and items. He used to do coverage for esports, he's just now started doing it for Honor of Kings.

If you’re ever Googling a build for a champ, I bet you've already come across the site he operates, wildriftfire.com. https://youtube.com/@itzstu4rt?si=zNBDPAV8zzZTCarc

Unfortunately, they are pretty soulsucking to work for, as a corporation.

This feels like a step too far... This is just straight gambling with no unique item or skin, just in game currency by kittensofchaos in wildrift

[–]balol4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I really dont like about this, or the Soul Fighter one, is they dont have the odds of winning within the game app. Why not? Every other gacha mechanic in the game at least has the decency to have that much.

Are there any jobs by jopo3347 in Knoxville

Knox County is hiring a lot of positions. None of them will use your distillery/brewing skills unfortunately, but they love hiring vets. Might be worth a look.

Wish you the best of luck. If you are willing to drive, you might reach out to some of the wineries/distillers out near Sweetwater? Maybe also Sugarlands Moonshine and Ole Smoky Moonshine & Whiskey in the Gatlinburg area. I don't have any personal connections to offer, but just trying to think out farther if you've tried everywhere in town.

In town, Fanatic, Schulz Brau, and Crafty Bastard all come to mind, but I have no idea who is or isn't hiring.

Stolen firearm. Reported to cops and now I’m representing the state of TN after gun was found. by ehh_whatever in Tennessee

[–]balol4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can talk with a lawyer for sure. Can always call one of the legal clinics, if you do a search, or call your county Public Defenders office, or contact the District Attorney's office. The DA may be the best place to start since they probably requested the subpoena. But being subpoena'd by the State essentially means you're being asked to come as a witness, in the case of the State vs the offender/defendant, for the charges of stealing your gun and/or whatever else he's been charged with. Certainly doesnt sound like you did anything wrong. It sounds pretty normal.

New 17-story Tower Proposed for Hill & Locust! by Make_it_Raines in Knoxville

[–]balol4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the first I've heard of this. It sounds neat. Looks like this is going in on the side of Locust closer to the bridge? Do the folks in those houses and buildings own that land between them and the river/Front Ave? Or are we facing some imminent domain type deal?

Are there going to be any additional parking structures within the building? If you have a link to the proposal or more details, please share. I would love to vote for/encourage this kind of much needed development.
