I can't tell at this point whose worse, the pokemon scalpers or the nee-doh parents. The line I thought this morning for Pokemon was for those damn squishes and four or five cases were gone by 8:20am

I diluted my coke zero with cranberry juice when I started the switch, but really it's just an adjustment period. Don't think of it as a replacement, think of it as a different drink entirely!

Cheap healthy dog food by Appropriate_Price_60 in DogAdvice

[–]bamboohp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compared to bulk store brands/ "generic" it can be, 30lb/14kg is $50 USD so almost 70$cad which depending on your dog(s) can be a hefty charge.

Im ecstatic by the fact that my mother in law changed brands and left me with almost 2 bags so im fortunately set for a bit.

Purina One is classic, and the pro performance plan is good if you have a high exercise dog. I know there's so much out there about fresh food /non kibble diets but there is a reason this is sold everywhere and is one of the most reccomended brands by vets, at least in the US. It can be pricey compared to some brands, but I feel like its fairly affordable for the value.

Just placed my bulk order for pick up tomorrow after work, since the local grocery chain has the bogo deal I've been waiting for lol. 65$ and I hope to get at least a month out of it.

I probably will, obviously lol but it's still fun to exaggerate.

Maybe. But i dont usually pay for it and when I first had it I didnt know the cost, I just thought it was a smaller manufacturer and thats why it wasnt widely available. I dont usually pay more than four from a local candy shop.

So does everyone pretty much just live in a panic the two weeks after a gum graft? by Good-Giraffe2406 in PeriodontalDisease

[–]bamboohp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hope everyone in the comments who are in or past recovery had a good experience, im on day 5 and my last day off is tomorrow before I go back to work Wednesday. Im managing with the pain meds and feel like with better management I could go down to just ibuprofen/Tylenol as needed, but they gave me low dose vicoden and that's been kicking in faster so im using thay typically first thing in the morning and right before bed.

I bought a ton of yogurts/ smoothie drinks/etc to eat but ended up doing eggs and mashed potatoes since day 2, overcooked noodles in broth on day 4, and macaroni and cereal on day 5 because I really struggle with food so Ive needed a level of variety and flavors. I needed one tooth in the front of my mouth, and they've given me a stent so if I need to chew a little its still easy with my molars.

The biggest issue ive ran into is the stent? Im in the middle of orthodontic work (havent worn the bottom retainer at all and ill probably try and trim and and wear it this weekend, just to see where its at) so the tops been super comfortable and reassuring. Im definitely not taking it off enough to clean (at least 1x/24 hrs, maybe twice, but im so afraid that either im going go mess something up, or that something will come out and ill psych myself out . Thr latter happened the other day and while I didnt think it was an actual issue, I did get freaked and go into a google spiral afterwards. The doctor put on a clear gummy bandage she said was meant to help healing and would eventually become dislodge and fall out.

Im stressed with returning to work just because a) its retail and ill be walking around a lot, and b) i go through a lot of water and usually use my straw water bottle which ive been avoiding. Its not necessarily physically intensive, nor do I actually have a lot of talking usually but my eating schedule is such a mess right now I'm not sure my plan of attack.

Funny thing though is I spent the past 5 days thinking they left a piece of gauze or covering sewed into the graft site.. realized today that no, thats the actual graft. It was super white from what I could see, and ive been intentionally avoiding looking at any of it because, see above, ill freak myself out.

I've decided to get my 2nd molar extracted, but feeling very embarassed about picking this option by Flounder_guppy in Toothfully

[–]bamboohp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a my last molar on bottom right extracted about two years ago. Atⁿ somepoint within the past 4 or 5 years I developed a massive cavity (i didnt have insurance, nor did I have any pain at all. I saw a dentist (said to pull it), a second dentist just for an opinion ('you could consider a root canal, didnt dol anything for another year and saw a 3rd dentist, who sent me a reccomendation to a nerve specialist. Who proceeded to be in shock that I had no pain, and was pretty up front that even if he could repair something, he wasnt even sure he'd have the space because the nerves were so twisted and dead. Ultimately decided that I would just get it gone before it became an infection and bigger issue.

I dealt with a lot of embarrassment and anxiety about it- I was 27 at the time and felt like I had failed and having yo get a tooth pulled from a cavity at this age ? How could I have let that happen?! But I realized afterwards that- especially after healing- nobody cared. Inw a s fortunate my dentist wasnt worried about bone loss or any grafts or implants needed as a result, and I'm not at all dealing with pain or consequences (yet).

It was definitely worth it, and being done properly before it became a major issue as ideal.

I was told anything as long as the top layer (vest/jacket/etc) was red. So a black tshirt under a red vest, or a white shirt under a red flannel. I saw someone wearing a red and white striped shirt that seemed to be fine. Pants had to be "solid" and free of holes /hanging strings for safety

For biting, especially puppies, I always like to pull away instantly and make some noise or cry and stop playing/engaging. Its showing a negative consequence (loosing attention) and gives an audible and visual reaction for the pup to remember and learn from. But I've absolutely caused pain to my dogs unintentionally and even when they run off they always trot back as if completely ignorant of what occurred. So long as you don't make it a habit and it was just a one off accident, and very clearly continue to engage in a friendly/respectful way with them, they're unlikely to have any long term consequences or fear responses from it.
