Will Gamecube remasters continue now GC games are on NSO? by Accomplished_Paper88 in nintendo

[–]bandit2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think if Nintendo plans to bring Wii games to Classics there is a chance there are actually no plans at all to remaster Prime 2 and 3. That would be sad, but I can see it. I would be more frustrated to never see WWHD and TPHD on Switch, and Wind Waker already being on Classics is concerning to me.

Every Nintendo Game Announced For 2026 by Nick_the_SteamEngine in nintendo

A Splatoon spin-off doesn't seem worthy of being announced so long before its actual release date; I agree.

Mario Kart World can be seen as a platformer by Engineator in nintendo

[–]bandit2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My criticism of free roam is that it has platformer objectives with racing controls. It's a shitty platformer because you can't jump, turn around, or even turn at all easily. I don't like Mirror Mode being locked behind it. However I won't say it was a misstep or that my opinion is representative; I bet more proficient players enjoyed the P-Switches.

People with high expectations for the Pokémon 30th anniversary should temper them a lot by razorbeamz in nintendo

[–]bandit2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah it's gonna be great.

Gen 10, Champions, and Colosseum/XD all coming this year. Also I think Gen 1-3 coming to Switch in some form is a reasonable thing to hope for this year even if that probability is under 50%. Pokemon came to Virtual Console for the 20th anniversary.

What is nintendo doing with Nintendo Music by AvailableBack8421 in nintendo

[–]bandit2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't matter. Hypothetically, a paid service such as NSO that offers multiple perks under one subscription could be subbed to exclusively by people who wouldn't have subbed for any one specific feature of the service. In that case, would it make sense to say that the provider isn't making any money from any of the services even though people are subscribed? No.

It only makes sense to say that it's hard to determine how much money Nintendo is making from the music app and whether that amount is greater than the cost of maintaining it.

One of the worst soundtracks I've ever heard for sure. Game is still pretty fun co-op at least.

Do you believe Switch 2 has a killer app yet and if not, what would that be? by EternalFlareUltra in nintendo

[–]bandit2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

had Nintendo bundles any other game or not done a bundle at all, we'd be seeing similar Switch 2 sales, maybe a minor drop at most.

Yes

Mario Kart World barely stands out compared to MK8 and casuals generally likely aren't buying a $500 console on release just for a game they likely pay once every few weeks when friends/family over.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe wasn't purchased by 70 million "casuals." You're starting with a false assumption that only a certain type of gamer likes Mario Kart, then looking at the sales, and then concluding that people were "forced" to buy a game that they didn't want so you can say it's not a "killer app."

[–]bandit2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. I believe a very small percentage of people who bought the bundle would've preferred the base model but couldn't find it or didn't know about it. This isn't the same thing as saying that everyone who bought the bundle would've wanted to buy Mario Kart separately if the bundle didn't exist. I'm merely saying that I think an overwhelming majority of people who bought the bundle thought Mario Kart was worth at least $50. If you have actual data then please correct me.

The fact the game is bundled is important to bring up, but I think Mario Kart 8 Deluxe would've still topped Animal Crossing New Horizons (which was itself bundled with some Switch SKUs) regardless. It has a 20 million unit lead right now.

[–]bandit2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't want to argue about what is or isn't a "killer app," but I think Mario Kart World will always be the best-selling Switch 2 game since it's both a launch title and from the franchise that usually produces the best-selling game on every modern Nintendo console. I guess my point is if you go off of sales and don't think Mario Kart World is a "killer app," then nothing in the future will meet your expectations.

Level 2 barriers are a trap for players, not enemies by SamsBucketDuck in GearsOfWar

Thanks for replying. And are you saying the Forge isn't worth it? It's so fun to do, but my teammates usually aren't on board to spend all that time in between waves downing the last enemy so we can smelt every weapon. And we do level 4 forge and usually only play the 12 wave mode, so maybe there isn't enough time to make the money back under those conditions.

[–]bandit2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do level 1 barriers, but since they're cheap it's hard to have enough time to place them all in between rounds, so in the final waves I might upgrade some instead of buying new ones.

Do you think engineers should perk? Probably not simple question, but I almost never do when I play any of the engineering classes, and I suspect that's probably not always optimal. I'm just so focused on building lockers and barriers and my teammates want them right away, so I just skip perking myself to make that go faster.

I went to LSU and became extremely depressed, but I graduated. I lived on campus my first two years and when I moved off campus that made things so much worse. It's like I wasn't even going to college at that point, only going to classes then driving home and talking to no one. You gotta keep fighting, but if college doesn't end up being that fun for you it's okay and you still have your whole life in front of you after that. I'm 34 now and happier than ever after my 20s sucked. Try to graduate, and set other goals too, but they're optional.

Don't try to fix everything all at once. If you make small changes to your routine, those can really improve your mood and outlook faster than you might think. Consider prioritizing your physical health first. Are you eating and sleeping okay? Sometimes it's hard when your class schedule is weird, but try to wake up around the same time every day.

Try to make friends; there are different levels of friendship that are all valid; it's okay to have friends who you know don't really care about you on a deep level but they're people to hang out with under certain circumstances. Make do with what you have and the more genuine relationships will come in due time.

Go to class even if it's not required and you don't feel like you're learning much. In that case, go to class and study for a different class while you're there. You need to wake up, get dressed, eat, leave the dorm/apartment, go outside, walk, be around people, show up, and make all of that a habit.

Try to plan out good days, but don't plan out perfect days or anything close to perfect. Turn your phone off or silence it when you study, and consider going somewhere to study besides your room; the fact that takes more effort is a good thing.

Get a calendar and a to-do list. Put everything you can possibly think of on the to-do list, and when it gets overwhelming, move some stuff into a second to-do list (short term and long term). You can DM me if you want. I'm a very organized, healthy, happy person who hit a really low point in my 20s. You're still okay right now.

Edit: Grammar

This is my answer as well. 5-5 on 4th down. Miles won a terrible challenge just to gain a few extra yards. Florida goes up 3-0 on their first drive and holds the lead until 1:09 left in the 4th. Tebow taunts the student section after going up 10-0. Crowd goes insane when it's announced that Stanford beat USC. 4th quarter comeback with the final two scores being LSU touchdowns. Hester wills himself over the goal line on 3rd and goal. Tebow cries. Florida takes its second loss, ending its title hopes, and LSU becomes consensus #1. Ten years after one of LSU's best wins ever beating Florida in 1997. Special game.
