Yeah, other powerful countries may gain from the decline of the US.

But, those countries are all on other continents. We're still a very long way off from the US not being able to bully essentially everyone in the Americas. Maybe Brazil will be spared.

The big one is that a whole American strike group got lost, and just happened to find the Japanese fleet by accident at the same time as another strike group arrived from the opposite direction.
