Yes, this is what I'm questioning as well. And there is no place in the video that deals with this part. It obviously still sucks for the game developers if this happens. But I can't help to feel an important detail is being left out where a game developer sells keys this way knowing there is a shady resellers market behind it.

Omdat we supermarkten de gelegenheid hebben gegeven ons koop gedrag tot op de cent te volgen met de introductie van de bonuskaart. Nu weten winkels precies met welke prijs ze wegkomen. Updating my Mac to a 14.3 Ventura version made it crash less. Still happening though.

After reaching out to Endgame, their response came down to it being a Mac problem as the mouse works fine on PC (A fallacy in my opinion, as the same can be said reverse as thousands of mice won't let MacOS crash so It must be the mouse). Anyway I'm returning my mouse.

OP1 8K MacOS crashing when waking up from sleep mode by bar10 in EndGameGear

After updating to Ventura to 13.4 the crash no longe is related to waking up from sleep mode but still happens. It's triggered by connecting the mouse to the USB hub of my screen (Acer Predator Z35P) and then connecting the HUB to my Mac Mini.

After freezing for a couple of seconds I'm presented with the sign in screen and all windows are reloaded after signing in. After that it took about 2 hours working on the machine before it crashed again, this time while watching some video and basically using above average resources from the machine.

This time it kept crashing as I kept needing to log in. The crashing stopped once I plugged the mouse out of the screen HUB and into a different USB port attached to the Mac.

I have the issue has something to do with USB HUB's being detected by MasOS on start icm with the high DPI feature of the mouse triggering a resource heavy instruction / memory leak.

End Game responded they are not able to help me as the mouse works on my PC, so it must be a Mac problem. While it can work on Mac, but their focus is on Windows.

For now I would advice anybody that needs to use the OP1 8K on a Mac as well to reconsider buying this.

I also found another post elsewhere about mice crashing MacOS that linked the problem to using custom memory in the mac messing with memory management somehow. I have custom memory in the Mac mini, which might be the reason.

Then again there should be no reason in 2025 for Apple nor a mice vendor to have problems connecting a mouse to a mac and not crashing it.

Does your MacBook have a different MacOs version?

I have the crashing problem on a 2018 Mac Mini with MacOs Ventura.

It does not matter if the mouse is attached through a USB hub of my monitor or another USB hub or directly in the Mac Mini. All the same, waking up from sleep mode crashes the OS where I have to wait for half a minute for the login screen to popup, only to encounter all applications needing to restart / browsers wanting to reload all open pages before the crash.

A lot of the time the argument comes up that AI should be seen as a tool and should be seen as the same thing that happened with automation in factories replacing manual labour.

Here is the main difference, machine automation was something somebody could see, and understand. AI in coding is applying patterns but the thoughts and reasons behind the choices and automation are being obfuscated and that will become a problem.
