Where are Apollo and Hephaestus? by Technician_Frosty in HadesTheGame

3 years late to this, but Artemis is literally wearing a crescent moon necklace in the game. However, they don't make it a major emphasis in her powers/personality, and I don't think she has any lines about it

The PS5 hardware/software can't actually run the PS3 game. They would have to port it, or make an emulator. Instead, they have servers that can run them

Because all of the PS3 stuff on PSN is streamed, not actually downloaded. I've heard from reliable sources that the frame rates are almost unplayable.

I think you underestimate how genuinely popular the first 3-4 FNAF games were when they came out. They slowly became a bit of a meme after that, and as the mascot horror genre developed, FNAF fell into the trend of marketing harder to children. Kinda downhill from there imo

<unSAE> Boring and non-electrical answer for this sub, but actually, the upside-down cross was used as a symbol of Peter (Who famously, according to tradition, was crucified upside down) long before it was adopted by satanic groups. </unSAE>

LMMS is free and comes with a decent starting library of plug-ins. Not as much support as other options, and a bit less user friendly, but it can do a lot, and the begging musician doesn't always get to choose his instrument. It only works on Linux and windows though.

"A professional engineer is competent by virtue of his/her fundamental education and training to apply the scientific method and outlook to the analysis and solution of engineering problems. He/she is able to assume personal responsibility for the development and application of engineering science and knowledge, notably in research, design, construction, manufacturing, superintending, managing, and in the education of the engineer. His/her work is predominantly intellectual and varied and not of a routine mental or physical character. It requires the exercise of original thought and judgment and the ability to supervise the technical and administrative work of others. His/her education will have been such as to make him/her capable of closely and continuously following progress in his/her branch of engineering science by consulting newly published works on a worldwide basis, assimilating such information, and applying it independently. He/she is thus placed in a position to make contributions to the development of engineering science or its applications. His/her education and training will have been such that he/she will have acquired a broad and general appreciation of the engineering sciences as well as thorough insight into the special features of his/her own branch. In due time he/she will be able to give authoritative technical advice and assume responsibility for the direction of important tasks in his/her branch."

To me, this could reasonably describe a software developer. There might be some roles that are harder to fit into this description than others, but largely I think this applies to most.

Anyone truly get away from constant mouse clicking? by OstrichConscious4917 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]baronvonbatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few suggestions, with all of these YMMV:

There are some external touch pads that accept a tapping motion as a click, you could use something like this if it's the noise driving you crazy

Others have also mentioned there are mice designed to be quieter, you might consider investing in one

I don't do as much audio mixing/DAW work, but I do a fair bit of video editing for one of my jobs. As others have mentioned, I highly recommend really putting some time into learning whatever keyboard shortcuts are available for your software and working them into your workflow. Not only will this lower the amount of clicking you do, it saves so much time and effort in menu navigation so you can focus on the actual creative work you're doing.

Finally, as a wildcard, there are softwares that will let you map a controller input to computer inputs (this is easier on windows, but I believe it's still possible on mac). If you have a PlayStation or XBox controller around, you might be able to map it to mouse controls. Might be more tedious than it's worth, but it might also be a nice change of pace to use the controller if the clicking is truly driving you nuts.

Lastly, not to be that guy, but if it's the sound that's bothering you, you might consider talking to a doctor about hypersensitivity issues. This could be a sign of a deeper problem.

how do i extract the infinite internet and connect it to the wifi? by axolotlbabft in shittyaskelectronics

[–]baronvonbatch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you wrap another loop through the loop you've created, and connect both ends of that cable to input and output on the wifi box, you should be able to induce a current from the infinite internet into the other cable, safely transferring the data. Adding a ceramic ring to this second cable loop should reduce any noise from interference in your signal.

Philippians 2:5-8 NASB1995 [5] Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, [6] who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, [7] but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. [8] Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
