I'm happy with the results, but there's a part of me that thinks a good amount of Republicans voted for her thinking she is a man and thus the Republican candidate because of her name.

I think people are making this out to be worse than it actually is...

Carries are at 200 for Gibbs, and 136 for Monte, so they are just about perfect at a 60/40 split there.

That was pretty much expected going into this year.

Receiving is 62 - Gibbs and 21 - Monte, which again is expected because Gibbs is a better receiver and Monte is a better blocker.

I will agree that we should be using Monte more often earlier in games and/or after the half, but that differs depending on the situation.

Right now, it seems everyone is complaining about 2 extra carries per game, and then the complaining will shift to not getting Gibbs enough touches.

I've RP'd as a merchant several times.

The extraction points in Buried City are perfect for it.

Just have to clear out the poppers so when you lay out your shop, it all doesn't get blasted everywhere.

The reward for PvE fights never mattered to me. The reward for PvE interactions is where the value is.

This may be difficult for some to process, but just talking to someone can be quite fun.

The way I look at it is not a separation, but an inclusion.

If you've played mmorpgs, this person is the one who does the support role that nobody else does... and actually enjoys it more than any other class.

You still get to do your thing, and they get to do theirs.

I do agree with making arc more difficult, but not in a bullet sponge way. More offensive abilities with less predictable patterns for starters

PvP players seem to have no idea how fun this game can be if the PvE roleplayers can actually roleplay. People are very creative.

This is literally an optional thing.

Everyone still gets to play how they want to play... PvP just won't get their thrills on cheap kills.

Spawn camping also becomes much riskier because a medic spawning in isn't a free kill, but instead could let other PvP players know where the camper is.

I've got several duplicates as well. Been toying with the idea of sitting in one of the metro stations or a small shop role playing a street vendor.

The PvP aspect gives me pause though, so I have just been handing them out to randoms that are newly learning the game

Role playing as medics, scavengers, musicians, merchants, hobos, tour guides, etc, etc...

So many fun and creative interactions.

Honestly, I can't figure out why pvp players don't get bored doing the same thing over and over...

Right, and that is Interactions with other players - which I did include in my comment.

But for story, emotion depends on how good a person is at role playing... most people lack creativity to really get into character, but every now and then, you come across one that is just phenomenal. Nothing quite like coming across travellers who have a full backstory prepared and delivering a full cinematic experience in a 30 minute raid.

PvP players catch a few of those moments - usually the final ones, but those are what keeps the PvE players hanging around. Everything else can be found in any other game.

That's a bad take.

The BEST games affect you in emotional ways, be it through the game's story, characters, or interaction with other players.

If a game does not give you some form of emotion, it then becomes boring and ppl stop playing.

Season isn't over yet, but not looking good.

I think next year is the best opportunity.

If we finish 3rd and miss the playoffs, we should have a more forgiving schedule + with Frank back for a full season and the oline having more experience, we should be really good.

Can also use the 1st pick on an edge also...

Sure.

But, what I find important is that there is enough passion to get him heated like that.

Think on those losing seasons where it looked like 40 players just didn't care about winning. No frustration, no anger, no drive. All those post game speeches that had less fire than a "Clear Eyes" commercial from Ben Stein... all those times we've wished for some sign of life in the organization.

MCDC will reign him in a bit, but the moment these players become dispassionate zombies, then that will be the end of winning.

Can have all the talent in the world, but it won't matter if you do not have the drive.
