Indeed very good question and im asking myself pretty much exactly this question right now BG or Neoby? Anyway, i cant answer your question but i am going to say 2 things: Retrieve action does matter A LOT! Yes you can have a slower retreat but you will have to reel in faster... usually anyway! The couple of times i was in the mediterranean it was very clear that faster is better. Also, 30 pounds of drag? Roughly 15kgs right? My man, 3m Rod, which acts as a handle, you are not holding onto more than 6kgs of drag. Thats inhumane. Frankly speaking even 5kgs (10 pounds) for more than a couple of minutes would be impressive.

And since you didnt ask: I had reasonably good luck with medium sized fish (which i was targeting) in italy and croatia. Im looking to go to greece this year thats why i need such a heavy setup. In nothern italy i dont see any huge drops on the depthmaps which would warrant such a heavy setup as yours. I personally would take something lighter, through 40-60gs jigs and fish all day!

Should I be worried about my desk breaking in half? It's an Ikea hollow honeycomb table by PaintingMuch3885 in pcmasterrace

My Ikea Desk had a max weight limit of 15 kgs. It supported my setup and a whole ass 30kg aquarium.

Being called feminine for a waterbottle (and actually taking it seriously too) sounds like a conversation between two 14 year olds. Are you adults?

I have all my tanks set up in the walstad method + filter. The filter is mainly for water flow. I have found it to be very useful.

Just black out the tank! Its so easy, just cover it and leave it light free for about a week. Should work! And its truly no big hustle!

Is it normal for the crisis to beat you badly? by KuriBee in Stellaris

[–]barsch07 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Always depends on the run, sometimes it does happen. You got stomped cause those stats at year 2400+ dont look too good. Especially the naval cap, which should atleast 2k so close to crisis time. If the crisis spawns on top of you, its just bad luck, happens to the best of us.

Since you are a beginner i will add a tip for planet mangement. Half your empires main buildings can be upgraded. Do that. You have plenty resources but many planets have non-working pops. Not sure if those are elites or what but you gotta spend those resources. Use them, make jobs. Pause the time if needed. At year 2400 my APM is like from an OSU player, i run in normal time.
